Hello. The whole circuit in this project is powered by supply from the Arduino. When you suggest internal power source, do you mean an external power supply?

Why did we connect DFplayer rx and tx pins to d12 and d11 pins, not rx-tx pins on arduino?
You could, the serial software library needs any 2 digital pins.
