There are 'rumors' that allegedly Tuomas had already contacted her at the start of September. But for legal reasons this cannot be admitted. Either way, the job she has done, since her first show speaks for itself. And rumors really don't matter when it comes to describing how impressive a vocalist Floor is.
She saved the Band. Fits perfect. Hello from 2020.

As far as I'm concerned, Floor Jansen is one of the most brilliant vocalists of all time.

It's quite clear that Ms Jansen is not only excels at vocals, but also clearly been well received by huge number of fans and music critics. At a time like this, the guys at NW would do very well to recognise the fact that they have been incredibly lucky to find such a perfect fit in a lead singer. Yes, I certainly hope they keep this one!!
I saw them live in London last night and Floor was truly out of this world. I took my friend who knows nothing of Nightwish but it blew her mind. Floor nailed all of the songs. Ghost love score was amazing. Hope she stays after the tour. She has the look, attitude, and the power in her voice. She fits Nightwish down to the ground!

She was electric, wasn't she? Utterly sensational. I was close enough to be able to see on her face how much she was enjoying herself. And last night she sang the set better than the original performers did.

I was here, on the floor right next to the stage in front of Tuomas, best night of my life. Thanks for uploading so I can relive this moment anytime I wish.
The day I got the tickets in the mail, I logged into Facebook to make a post about the show and how excited I was. Instead I saw the message from the band that Annette was no longer with the band. My heart sank, and yet as I read on I saw a familiar name. I was already a fan of After Forever, and immediately I knew. Floor would be perfect. My disappointment turned to excitement and the wait for the show was intense. She's a goddess and I hope I get to chance to see them live again.
You was really lucky. I read another one who had ticket for this tour decided not go to the show when he knew Annette was replaced. It was at Wacken 2013. I understand he deeply regreted. On my side, I saw them on their last tour, at the very beginning. It was my first time to see them and I was hoping for a good show, but my expectations was not too high with the departure of Marco. Also, I was not sure what energy Floor could bring now she turned 40. Well, she was simply amasing and all my doubts diseapear. She is just fantastic to entertain a crowd and her voice was very healty. It was my best show live ever.
The end of 2 weeks of craziness for Floor and the boys. What an opening ride and the beginning of a historic journey into legend and the history of metal. The legend continues! Thanks for the upload. Amazing.🤯🤯🤘🤘
I've always wanted Floor to sing GLS.... and it was beyond my most amazing dreams of her singing it... ummm WOAH can she please stay??
Floor has not only a perfect voice, but also THE feeling while singing Nightwish songs!... it's so beautiful to see/hear that. And she has stage presence too! Stop procrastinating and hire her for permanent for god sakes!
Amazing video, I love to see Floor in the beginning of her Nightwish journey, I just saw an interview with her where she said that she was scared to death first concert lol, just look at her now owning the stages. Queen of metal.

Ralph no. Floor began on October 2, 2013 in Seattle. This is like her 5 or 6 concert. Still about 2 weeks with the band and already was amazing. Maybe a couple of missed lyrics but she was so awesome that people didn’t care. 😂
@@isaflechas Floor is a true metal head next to being a top tier vocalist, she can do what Tarja did and than some, so she could do no wrong.. Anette once said in an interview knew she was done when it was announced Floor would replace her, she knew the fans would love Floor from the start.. A love she never received since she's more pop than metal and had to replace the iconic Tarja..
This gig was in Orlando, Florida a fortnight after she joined...
...and yes Anette knew the moment Floor's name was mentioned, that she will be remembered as her alternate. Notice how many pre-recorded tracks from tape, Anette needed to keep some songs going, were swept away by Floor. Just a few relevant have been kept, e.g. the intro of "The Poet and the Pendulum" needs to be sung by a boy. Funny how many first listeners think that it might be Floor, because she is capable of singing it.

I agree but keep in mind that Floor already had a 10 + years career with After Forever, Revamp & the Ayreon concept albums - Tuomas tried to hire her back in 2007 but she was still committed to After Forever - we just had to wait 5 more years

Floor's version of Ghost love score is absolutely breathtaking...I listen to original GLS and I imagine Floor's vocals at the end of the song (of course I'll always love Tarja)...If anyone said to me a month ago that I would like GLS from another vocalist, I would laugh at them. I just can't believe I fell in love with Nightwish once again! I really pray they keep her, she's perfect in every way, vocals, stage presence, warmth towards the audience...
Ever Dream is A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!!! She has a monster voice and is a best choice for this band!

I got to see Floor's second concert with the band in Portland, OR~ we were literally floored. She was so damn incredible.

I JUST CAN'T BELIEVE IT. I know Floor Jansen for so many years, and I know her voice is actually amazing, but Everdream, here, is MANIGIFICENT, just SUPERB. She can make the highest tones with no effort, so softly but strongly! She can do it in a lyrical register, but I didn't know she was able to sing so high-pitched in a rocker register!!!
The only thing I can say is that Nightwish has recovered its essence, and lot of fans, like myself. BRAVO POR NIGHTWISH + FLOOR.

In the history of music and entertainment, I do not think that there has been such a marvelous collision of power and talent. Nightwish and Floor Jansen simply make sense! I love this band!

Outstanding performance for only having been with them for a short time at the time of this concert! She's taken their songs and already worked so well with turning them into her own amazing style! I want to see at least one album with her, so as to see what she can really do!

I need an official version of this, I want to be able to listen to Floor singing Nightwish everyday (and with proper quality)! They need to record a cd with her or at least give us a Dvd of one of their concerts together!

And now we are without Marco too. But knowing Nightwish they will be able to find a new lineup again that will add new dimension to the band. However, Marco will be forever missed, I think.
I am happy because:
- Floor was great in After Forever, and they quit :( .
- Nightwish was great but but i didn't like Anette in the band :(.
Now Nightwish exists again for me, with the beautiful voice of Floor.
I do not want to compare Floor and Tarja because i honestly cant make up my mind who is better.
They are both brilliant.
Why is everyone so mesmerized by Tarja? She has such a grinding tone in my opinion. I'd take Anette every day 😅

@@salt27dogg I believe she did shows with nightwish before yes, I believe she did know about she is my sin and I think she covered it once upon a time. but still she learned the rest of the songs that she didn't entirely know the songs in 48 hours, I can barely get words down in that long let alone tempo vocal pitch and this is 15 songs. some being over 8 minutes long.

Back when Tarja first quit, Floor was my dream pick to replace her. Anette was clearly a poor choice (she could barely keep up during a live show). Amazingly enough, I saw Anette's second to last show with the band. Floor will be amazing in the band.
In 2006 Floor band Afterforever was becoming quite popular so Floor woldnt leave at that moment

I was really looking forward to seeing Nightwish, was gonna have a long weekend in London for it. Turns out I can't afford it. Profound sadness. Marco's bass sounds has gotten even more killer, by the sounds of things, and Floor, from what I can tell here, sounds pretty excellent. Christ I love this band.
Tarja has set high standards, which Annette could never fulfill. She was completely misplaced in Nightwish. Floor Jansen however, her voice makes the hairs on my neck stand up - incredible, I saw her live before with her own band ReVamp and we actually spoke about Nightwish, after her gig. This is a dream come true for me and would definitely make Nightwish accessible for me again. Floor Jansen vocals drenched in drama, additional to her incredible vocal range, is what Nightwish needs.

Great vid, million thanks! At the beginning, Floor's voice seems to be little bit of, put I thing she just hold back because of the more difficult songs at the end of the set. And general audio improved - thanks for the mixer crew.

i stopped loving nightwish since tarja left, before that i was a really big fan because i loved tarja's operatic voice combined with nightwish's beautiful music.
I love the band again now floor joined and hope i will be able to view the band with floor.

Wow! Sure it wasn't perfect, but honestly, I doubt I could learn 5 songs that well in 2 days, much less 16, much much less be willing to try and sing them in front of a live audience. That's some true talent right there.
By the time the Wacken rolled around she had them nailed and sounded incredible.

Finally, it seems Nightwish advanced by hiring a singer who can handle both operatic and pop vocals. Tarja was full of opera, Anette was exactly the opossite, but Floor Jansen is both and that makes her most appropriate for the position. Anette held Nightwish back, since they had to change the way they play to fit the songs for her, Tarja may be my favorite, but also held the band back because they couldn't experiment anything else but opera, so... they will be free with Floor. Stay Floor!!:)
