I think i understand how the Vaults work and how they protect the data against corruption, theft and equipment failure. I also, understand if you delete something in Myio, it's gone forever. I use Backblaze as vault, but also as a regular way to back up my photos. That way if i deleted something i wanted to undo, i can get it back.

The keyword stuff would be nice.
Can it pull OCR data out as a keyword in to a photo?
I've been chasing something to do that nothing around, it's for work more so than home stuff

Hi @zagan1 - We don't have a mechanism to pull OCR data into keywords, but both OCR and keywords are searchable in Mylio Photos, so those images will show in search results either way. ~Angela

I was already a Backblaze customer so just adding Backblaze as a vault was what I did.

The new folder looks good, but they no longer show the # of photos and sub folders unless you zoom very close in, and they are now wide instead of square. Is there a way to customize the new folders?

Hi @keen99 - The number of folders and sub-folders is shown in the folder tab. If you're not seeing it, you'll need to zoom in a bit on the grid view (make the folders larger).
You can still customize your Folder view with custom cover photos, so you can choose a photo that looks good in landscape orientation.
If you prefer the old look with square tiles, you can revert to the previous view under the More menu > Settings > Device Appearance > Show Folder Icons.

@@MylioPhotos thanks..is there a way to turn off reminders? I get the “protect your files now” every time I open Mylio on any computer, it pops up, really annoying.

@@keen99 You should be able to click the X on the reminder to turn it off. However, it will come back next time you re-launch because Mylio is pretty concerned with making sure your photos are protected. If you haven't yet added at least one Vault, I highly reccomend doing so. ~ Angela

@@MylioPhotos but I already use another service to back up all my photos not through Mylio, can I turn the reminder off anywhere? It gets annoying it pops up every time I start Mylio .

@@keen99 As long as you have at least one Vault, you can go into the Dashboard > Devices, select that Vault, and toggle the switch that indicates that the drive is backed up outside regularly. This will disable the reminder. ~Angela

Why not a "pay for what you use" model instead of forcing people into two defined tiers? I'm doing with with Backblaze already and it's way cheaper than Mylio's offerings.

Hi Scott - We opted for a tiered pricing structure to make it easy to understand and so users would know with certainty what their cost would be. The price for SecureCloud Storage for Mylio Drive+ is competitive with the per TB cost of other cloud storage options on the market. If you're already working with Backblaze directly via S3 and are satisfied with your setup, you don't need to make any changes at this time. ~Angela
