fun fact: normally the fastest speed you can go is mach 4 which is about 20 pixels per...second? If you look at the left bar on the right, you can see they were going at 37 pixels per...second(?). The Noise was going at mach 7.
@andrewle4989 mach 4 is reached at 16 speed, but will go up to 20, which is the normal speed cap. also its pixels per frame, not second, so 20 speed is 1200 pixels per second. (also, since mach 2 is at 8 speed, mach 3 is at 12 speed, and mach 4 is at 16 speed, mach 5 would be at 20 speed if it were to continue, meaning that noise was going mach 9.25)

A tutorial wouldn't really be all that good, it's a lot simpler than you might think. all you need to do is just press a single button bound to the actions (up, jump, groundpound) the frame before you hit the ground
TASes like these make me never wanna even attempt speedrunning as The-Odor J. Nose as the bar is so fucking high for human perfection or impossible in most cases, and knowing there is always room to do way better as a human makes it a way more daunting task than speedrunning with the Italian man ever was, as atleast alot more tricks were actually possible with Peppino as a human player. Idk how to describe this feeling I am having or if anyone will even understand what I mean, but man, The Noise is fucking broken. Cool TAS tho
they're TASes for a reason, the human limit for noise is not even close to anything done in this video and this video shouldn't be used as a reference to what strats are used in human speedruns
The bar for Noise may be high, but no-one's gotten to this insane of a skill level. No-one's pulling off schwoosts and moon-maching everywhere they can for frames of time-save (yet). We're still on the basic "woost/hyperwoost where it's faster" level of play.

I'd say I am an amateurish speedrunner (I don't submit my runs tho as I don't own a legal copy of PT due to being from a poor country, but if I did it I would be in the 90s with Peppino) so what I say in terms of speedrunning doesn't really matter, I just find Noise TASes to be extremely intimidating even though I know they are literally impossible for a human lol

i couldn't tell you but cheda probably could, i suspect it might be because if you pause on a specific frame then the game forgets to spawn an enemy during pizza time, although thats a really simple explanation and thats likely not how it works and its alot more complex
