Awwe this is so sweet. You guys are the best. I agree with that SKZ treats him so good like the West treat our youngest. He does get away with a lot but he is so cute! Not that other groups don’t treat their youngest good, I think it’s just different. During award shows you always see him out front and usually has the trophy, during meals members wait until he takes the first bite before anyone else eats. They love IN! So do we. Great reaction. Love this song. This was the first song he wrote with Bang Chan and Changbin So catchy and fun.

You're right, skz kinda follows the western culture a bit since the leader is an aussie so he's not really that strict with the korean culture in the group. He doesn't follow a lot of rules such as when the maknae should do the chores like when eating the maknae should prepare the table but he does it instead coz he's so used to it as he was always the youngest before when he was a trainee in jyp, also the rule which the oldest should eat first before the others, chan's family do it the opposite way so he also passed it down to skz and it's not just when chan and i.n is around but all skz members follow this where whoever the youngest present will eat first.
All skz members are actually not very strict with the korean culture hierarchy thing since the members are mostly youngest in the family or only child. The only members who are not maknae in the family is chan and i.n lol so the older members chan, lee know and changbin don't act superior bc theyre older, all of them just treat each other casually like friends which is very cool. Even outside skz, the members are not strict with the hierarchy culture. For example lee know, he doesn't care if the person is younger, he won't order them around bc he's older even if that's the culture in korea. Also han, he has younger friends and he doesn't mind if they speak casually to him. They're all just cool, i don't really like that hierarchy in korea and i understand koreans who are like that since it's part of their culture so i was very surprised skz aren't that kind of people which i really love. It's really amazing, chan and felix are aussies so it's a given but the others who aren't strict and abusing the system to their advantage i really respect a lot.

Every time I think about this, I remember Changbin during Up All Night learning (again) that Seungmin is a week younger than Felix and thus gets to eat first. Four years, and he was still like "Eh?!" LMAO every single time. 😂

"He's savage" is correct. SKZ's savage line, aka SavageRacha, is Lee Know, Seungmin, and I.N. He fully holds his own.
Flashing back to Han proudly telling everyone that I.N thought Han was the best-looking member in the beginning...and then everyone pointing out that he was the _only_ member at the time other than Chan and Han's face going 😮.
Yeah, I.N legit loves trot. He even did a competition show once (ruclips.net/video/RWLkQ_rxLSs/видео.html ), and while I'm not finding the full thing rn, this clip shows how good he is. Other clips from the episode show how shocked the cast were at his age (he was 19), when most of the others were many, many years his senior and trot isn't thought of as something most 19-year-old boys, especially ones from a group like SKZ, are interested in. But the style actually suits his voice better than almost anything else I've ever heard him sing other than ballads, which are equal.
He's basically the anti-maknae. He actively dislikes aegyo and more than once has mentioned not wanting to be thought of as cute (as of today, though, he's mentioned deciding it's nice that people still think he's cute despite being 21(I)/22(K), and he might as well enjoy it while lasts). As others mentioned, SKZ's culture is basically the opposite of Korean age hierarchy, and even the stuff that's in line with it is pretty nominal. You can regularly hear them call I.N "hyungnim" and the like, and yeah it's somewhat teasing, but it's also them acknowledging how he acts. He's constantly threatening to hit several of them (most frequently Seungmin, lbh) and has zero fear. He respects them all, but it's demonstrably an "I respect this person" thing, rather than an "I'm obligated to perform respect for this person because they're older" thing. They don't adhere to the "maknae does the chores/serves us/is our grunt" thing; they're very egalitarian about that stuff, and if anything, Chan tends to take on more than his share (except for dishwashing, which is Changbin's perpetual job). And they absolutely dote on him, even Lee Know (in his unique way). Seungmin, Changbin, and Hyunjin are constantly trying to kiss or hug him, and he has no problem throwing hands. Generally speaking, as they themselves have mentioned, Felix (at third youngest) is more the one who acts for them the way people expect from a maknae, whereas I.N and Seungmin are just not wired that way, and they're lucky enough to be in a group that respects that and doesn't force it.
Yes, I.N is literally just because it's the end of Jeongin. And yes, STAY have absolutely teased him the lack of thought he put into that.
Seungmin is the closest in age, yes. But Seungmin, Felix, and Han are within a week of each other, and Hyunjin is also considered the same age, so while I.N is the _maknae_ maknae, he has four cohorts right above him in the maknae line, and he has no issue treating any of them this way. He doesn't target Seungmin because he's next in birth order -- he does it because Seungmin has been actively, openly, and delightedly pestering the f*ck out of him since predebut. Bugging I.N is Seungmin's full-time side job AND hobby. So I.N just responds in kind. They're both in the savage line; they live for this.
Maknae on Top isn't a "what it would be if the roles were reversed" -- it really is pretty much their actual SKZ culture. Exaggerated for the humor of the song and video, obviously, but no, it really is like this in SKZ. If you look up the lyrics, there are multiple lines that are basically quotes of interactions we've literally witnessed repeatedly, including him threatening to smack hyungs and them pandering to him.
The Maknae on Top video is full of a inside jokes/references. One that most amuses me is him cuddling the egg carton at the end, which is a reference to a game they played wherein I.N's mission involved protecting a carton of eggs and which ended...very poorly and very, very quickly for the eggs, enough that that moment is part of the collective fandom memory. Lee Know got lucky I.N didn't smother him in his sleep later that night.

He’s like the grandma of the group 😂 even though he’s the youngest he likes to act the oldest. It’s really fun and even the others call him grandma sometimes. I highly recommend watching their family role plays. It’s so funny and the positions really fit each member. Like IN is the grandma and Chan (who likes to act like a fake maknae sometimes) plays the youngest kid 😂

Skz-Players are not official songs from their albums it's something they put out only in ther youtube channel, original songs they made for the fans, like this one and each member have their own Skz-players/record. Maybe that's why they don't have official subs and they're not on music platforms like spotify either. But all songs are still so good,title track worthy, self written and produced like this one. Love the fact that Chan and Changbin did that with IN as well. I mean, how many macnaes have a song dedicated to them like that. It shows how much they love and care for him. ✌🙂 Also not sure if you know that Skz have something called 2 Kids Room. The 3rd episode came out today,. It's one of my favourite things to watch because you can see the dynamic and relationship between 2 of them at a time and the Impresession all the other memebers have for that dynamic. It's honestly the best thing.
