I see what you guys are saying and yea there are goobers in the military (I’m a former 0311). That being said I would argue that having military or police qualifications generally will filter out the complete numbskulls in the gun community that call themselves “instructors”. There are some gun “schools” that are teaching downright disgraceful and unsafe things. And we see this when we see school have negligent discharges that lead to injuries among students and even sometimes instructors. Sorry but unless a civilian has an impressive record of classes, and competition shooting I’m not going to their class.
Definitely no one from the USAF to teach you carbine or pistol. Sad but true.
