I like that the Premier inserts aren’t tallboys anymore. Also interesting that Burns & Huberdeau were with their new teams while their base cards weren’t.
Loving this year's set. The semi-gloss finish on the cards is a nice improvement and those retros look sharp. Quality product for an affordable price. Will be picking up a few more boxes just for fun.
Weird how all the kraken cards say “Seattle Kraken” on the front instead of just Kraken. Sharks just say “San Jose” too
I'm glad that the retros still have the tan cardboard backing which makes it special but I'm gonna miss them on base I think

Really nice product this year ! I got a printing plate + Slafkovsky /350 in my box :O !
So I purchased two of these hobby boxes. Not only is the quality of the set noticeably better, but my luck was absolutely insane. I pulled a Kent Johnson black rainbow foil (#’d to 100) in my second ever pack, along with a Jack Hughes OPC Premier diamond rainbow foil (#’d to 99). Had an absolute blast opening the boxes and I absolutely plan on getting more!

Nice box! I love the look of the retro & premiere sets. The color also looks sharp. Base is pretty boring, but still looks like you get plenty of bang for your buck. Thanks for showing this...I'll probably get a box. I don't usually do o-pee-chee due to the lack of RCs. I bet they will sell a lot more now.

On box number 10 of my sealed case and have noticed an alarming trend of the hits being on the top row of packs and reds or low numbered rainbows on the bottom left and right.

Something I noticed is that some teams have the team name and others have the city name (Winnipeg instead of “Jets.”) Anyone know why this is?

When does platinum come out?
I would actually buy a set like O-Pee-Chee if I was guaranteed or very likely to get a full set of the playing cards in 2 or so boxes. If you hit perfectly you'd need 13 boxes to get a set. Since some of them are short print, you probably won't get all the face cards.
How much in US money was each box?

Actually not bad for regular OPC which most would consider a young kids or entry collector product.

@@ethanbaker7812 It's how cards used to be a zillion years ago. They could just print a picture and some stats on the front while not being able to print stuff on the back. True retro look.

Love o pee chee for myself but also to keep younger kids coming to the hobby. Kids can open The Cup , black diamond, and ultimate.

My LCS just hooked me up today with 6 hobby boxes of this product from last year for only $120 total. I love this product, has that old school/vintage feel. It had been sitting on their shelves for a while and I think they were just willing to move it.
I know it's easier said than done, but can Upper Deck just not Photoshop the players on new teams?? It seems like such a quick fix

I could print you out a picture of all the players on their proper team this very minute, and I don't even have a contract with the NHL. I don't mean to be overly critical but come on guys, it can't be as hard as they make it look.

Most improved set made by UD doesn't say much lol , since 90 percent of their products are trash . That being said , opc is certainly looking better this year , finally UD actually did something right for the first time In 7 years

Kinda disappointed...printed on numbers again,base/inserts have same white background. Cardboard seems cheaper then last year even the playing cards feel cheap and flimsy compared to last year. Honestly feels the same as 20/21 just with more foil.
