The plaque is dedicated to my great, great grandmother (Minnie Gillan)who arrived in Victoria on the bride ship (Tynemouth) in 1862. Funny story. Before that was an RV park, it was a residential mobile home park. I think the spot you are in and the one or two next to it in the video was where my mobile home and yard was set up when I was 4 to 9 years old. That inlet and forest behind you was my back yard where I would play. I used to go get the mail down at the boat ramp and get an ice cream sandwich for the walk back home. A couple of times a stray cat would follow me home and wouldn't leave. 40 years later I still visit and watch people launch and load their boats while enjoying a BLT at the coffee shop. Definitely a beautiful location. So sorry you had to visit a place to get stitches on your trip. Glad it wasn't too bad for you. Thanks for sharing your trip to the island. :D

Despite Stan’s accident, I am always amazed at how handy Stan is. It looks like Vancouver Island is very bike friendly. It reminds me of Quebec and Ottowa. I was fortunate to go to the UK with my parents and enjoyed high tea in London and in Cornwall.😊

You know, when we went into the Canadian Walmart the reason why it’s so different is they don’t sell all the crap food we have in the U.S. It actually started me on reading labels. Their Heinz Ketchup has real tomatoes!! Now read our Heinz Ketchup all chemicals. We could not find Skippy Creamy peanut butter in Canada. Same reason their peanut butter has no seed oil in it. Just peanuts!! Our is all chemicals. Sorry I went on such a rant. I’m glad RFK is going to be in charge of our food. No wonder we have so many unhealthy people in America! I’m making sure I’m putting an extra blessing on our food! I’m reading a lot more labels!! Blessings to you both we can’t wait to see you guys!! Stan and Rhonda🙏🏼❤️

VERY nice video. I must have hit my head on my hitch at least 5 times on my last 2 5th wheels. Happy to say that NO stitches but a few big goose egg. I try to use the go around method, instead of going under. But now I have an issue with the latch that hangs down that hold up the front compartment door. See you guys soon.

Oh man, that looked bad Stan. Glad it wasn't worse than that. Good information about the insurance - we didn't get any but might next time. Stan did you get that heater working properly ? that was some good sleuthing you did to figure out the fan was hitting it. I hate that about RVs, but it's also great satisfaction when you fix those little problems. That area is so pretty - love it. High Tea! wow - that's special. The Empress looks very nice - we have drive by but we didn't go in and we definitely didn't get Tea :) That area is so pretty and love the architectecture. Hi friends! Thanks for coming along with us again on this adventure 😅 Glad we weren’t the only ones that didn’t think to get insurance and glad you didn’t find out you should have like we did. 😬 We ended up trying the gas heater out when we were dry camping at a Provincial park and in the middle of the night the fan completely broke. It probably woke up the whole campground it was so loud. We ended up getting a new fan from the SRT at the Idaho Rally and Stan was able to fix it for good 👏
My 85 year old step dad fell on his snowblower. The top of his head hit the metal flap and cut a huge deep gash and he also cut his ear in half on a blade. It was so bad, looked like someone when after him with an axe. Had to argue with him to let me take him to the ER. He was in shock and said he just needed a few bandaides.
So sad you hit your head Stan!!! 😥 But glad you were able to get the care you needed. I could not watch when you were getting stitches. 🤢(Michelle) Prayers for speedy recovery! Hopefully, there was no concussion? Don't you have health insurance? How did that work in Canada? Broken fan, awww. That makes sense now. High Tea!! LOVE it.
