So much more helpful than a session video watching someone bang out 10Kg of spod mix, show us a rig and then hauling a few fish. This format is way more thought provoking and way more useful. Thanks to Carpology for bringing us these, and to the indomitable incontinent Mr Penning for getting the grey matter buzzing.
Phenomenal video! Thank you so much for all your insights Adam. Working off of some of your principles I recently caught the biggest fish in my syndicate! I genuinely credit you in this capture. Thank you again. Legend.
I'm not a "Carp" angler but I really look forward to these videos with Adam, his thought process is fantastic and is easily transferable to other avenues of the sport.
Started carp fishing in 1967 on the Thames at Canbury Gardens, caught my first 3 carp there on that night After carp fishing now for 50 years and listening to this guy for the first time... he talks a lot of sense and enjoy listening to him.
What an incredible series this has been! I've got back into carp fishing after a 15year absence and all of your advice in this series is such a massive help to see the wood through the trees. Thank you to everyone involved in this 👍
Great to listen to somebody who gives so much great advise this has just got my taste buds going again made me think how many mistake we make bye following the obvious thankyou Adam all the best for the future 👏👏
Ah ive just hit it on the button . I think the same voice what said take the corn . That same voice told the carp eat that bit of corn. Thanks Adam. Top marks for giving us some good advice which can help us all catch more carps thanks
I so enjoy your tips & logical ways of fishing.......But you so remind me of Ronnie Corbett from The Two Ronnies , when he does his Joke from section from his chair , and goes off on a tangent, then remembers the punchline ...you have so much that you want to get across thank you 👍🏻🎣
Really enjoy listening to your advice Adam. Sometimes it’s not about watching all the top boys catching all these beautiful carp making it look easy. Good advice and stories goes a long way I think, you remind me of my Dad who is also a rather good angler himself, always thought outside the box on a day when it’s not working out. And never failed to put a few carp in mine and my brothers arms. Keep it up mate 👍’s up from me
Love seeing how you think about your fishing and your thought process. Like you said a good while ago ,"if you do what others do , then you will catch like the others do." And like Maddocks and Hutchinson said all those years ago , " never be afraid to try something new"
Adam, thank you for this video and all the other ones too. I have found your videos not just inspirational, but educational, informative, and as you say , off the normal way of carp anglers. Your insights into angling pressure on lakes apply to all lakes not just those syndicate lakes you have the privilege of fishing , which you have, but which apply to all lakes. I have certainly looked at different baiting options on my local syndicate and to be honest have far exceeded the expectations of my local anglers. In other words I always do something different from the rest and as a day fisherman have more success than any others on my lake. My average is two fish a day, and recently caught my largest spawned fish of just under 27lb which was so happy. Please continue your videos as not only are you a very knowledgable man, but you come across as a very nice man also.
Great content as always, I’ve watched all the videos and have taken in some great advice and tips. I’ve been fishing a tricky park lake with roughly 60/80 carp in there and have managed to beat my pb twice which is now 40/1lb mirror. All I can say is that if you are struggling then watch these videos and listen to what Adam penning is saying, it will truly change the way you approach a water and how you fish it. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
A fantastic informative incite into autumn out of the box thinking / fishing. Awesome series CARPologyTV and massive thanks and respect to Adam for sharing his wisdom/knowledge .. Steve M
Definitely agree on the bottom bait rigs at the moment. The lake I'm on at the moment is fairly tough and I think pop ups and bright colours have been over used. I've had good success recently with a match the hatch bottom bait.
Great video Adam, I have only recently just got back out onto the banks, due impart to what seemed like Billions of anglers on furlough taking up every single swim on every singly lake in the UK, this killed my passion for fishing for the last 18 months ☹, but now most seem to be back in work i can finally start to enjoy it again, also since scamdemic started last year a lot of lakes are now only booked in advance for just day sessions 😒, i used to be able to just turn up early in the mornings before anyone else and fish.
@@-BOOMA- There are no decent rivers within 60 miles to me, done rivers for years and only last 4 years been doing lakes for carp, tried sausage and caught nought lol.
@@ptaylor5014 sounds like you need to move house mate lol. 🤣 hopefully the influx of carp anglers will settle down dude once they can get back too golf or whatever they like to do !! Pepperami works well for carp 😅 that's kind of like a sasauge 🥲😁
Adam how do you prepare your freezer bait? You mentioned in your bait vid not to air dry bag etc, so can you let me know your method of preparation? I have always brought sticy shelf life and had good success, but just got myself a bait freezer Many thanks Keep up the insightful in depth quality footage I for one appreciate your detailed, honest and sincere thoughts of the game
Ive recently Re-started fishing & modern day carp angling depresses me. My First time out on an old lake and it was just surrounded by bite alarms.... sigh
Wish I’d seen this vid yest before I wasted a whole day on the end of the wind in an under tree spot I’d baited up the previous 48hrs with 2 kilos of boilies, then catching sweet fa but a damn coot who dived 6ft to gobble my razor sharp long shank barbed hook (thankfully forcep’d out real easy) while carp were jumping on the BACK of the wind in a slightly sunnier area. Lesson learned, even pre baiting is useless unless the conditions suit the spot (specially when bastard coots probably gobbled the lot anyway) 🙄
Great series watched them all 👍👍👍 quick question would you still use the manila active for your crumb in the winter or just use the normal freezer bait 🤔👍
Fast becoming an absolute legend, can listen to this fella all day, sound advice and seems such a great bloke👌👍

Such a great video, thanks for the tips as I'm struggling at the minute!! 🤣 Tight lines buddy 🎣🎣🎣
Winters are not as cold and long as they use to be, so it could be the carp don't need to feed as much in the autumn to see them through the winter.
Nice video guys!
Oh yes been looking forward to this one

Iam not a carp angler iam a match angler have to say really enjoyed that video cheers Adam 👍

The voices in my head tell me to do bad things.... Like putting corn in .. then I catch a bream 😆

They don't want to be getting their skirts blown over their head - under a heat lamp in a bingo hall. Brilliant.
I guess the difficulty is when there are nut bans and also nuisance fish in abundance 😵💫

Carp ASMR ….
Wow never knew that carp have a yearly bite quota 😂
By the time the fella has stopped chatting shit and starts talking about a guide to autumn ive fell akip
Does his rod EVER go off during these films? 😅
Strange. This change has almost happened alongside the increased monetary value of fishing in the last few decades. These fish are strange.
Used to like him but can’t really listen to him anymore. Makes carping sound harden than needs be
This guys uses more unsubstantiated 'facts' to build an argument than the Conservative Government!
