      I love Danny - he’s both relatable and the real thing. A true soul warrior. The interviewer annoyed me - projecting his own limitations into questions with Danny, and this slowed it down and lowered the vibe. He was miles behind. Ego warrior.

    • @Alkemiss

      @indiablue2961 I think it was done intentionally for good reasons. They seem to be good friends and have a strong rapport. David is a somatic therapist so I assume he used certain strategies to help guide Danny see his blind spots. Danny like you and I is just an ordinary man that allows himself to be used as an example for healing purposes - much like how a trainer will make you do all kinds of crazy movements you hate but benefits you in the long run.

    This resonated with me re:my ex husband. I wish I was more in tune during marriage with what men could be feeling. I now see that my ex could have felt he needed to be useful to be accepted. I didn’t feel like that but I know I didn’t take care of him or was aware of his needs as much as I should have. Classic case of husband neglect by directing most of my attention to my kids and even my friends.

    • @Love-eg2vf
      @Love-eg2vf 17 дней назад

      Your husband was still a weak man. Strong men with firm principles don’t betray them regardless of what other people do or don’t do. Don’t make excuses for weak men; they ruin families and societies. “Weak men create hard times”… as the saying goes.

    I love how uncomfortable Danny looks with the question about allowing people to take care of him and allowing people in because I can see something's going to shift for him and it's a great example that as much work as we do, we never stop and we always have more growth and more room for growth. Love this interview! Love Danny! Incredible questions David ❤

    When a child is parentified and triangulated or either one of them - the child loses the ‘resilience in receiving’ as the child only know how to give and is not accustomed to ask for help or support ☝🏻

  • @Souhaird
    @Souhaird 3 месяца назад +2

    No child is supposed to take care of his mom, dad or siblings as this is too burdening, overwhelming and exhausting.. this is the trauma of Parentification which is an intergenerational trauma that runs in families and it is EXTREMELY common.
    Further, the other trauma that is also very common and unfortunately looked at quite favorably and thus is socially accepted is the Triangulation pattern ( which in many cases is associated with the Parentification). This is commonly referred to as momma’s boy and Daddy’s girl. @Danny … My heart felt so touched and sad that you needed to mother your mom and be like her husband .. and until now you’re parenting your father 🙏🏼
    Both patterns have DETRIMENTAL adverse impact on children. I see this with all the clients as I practice holistic psychotherapy, and I myself have been parentified and have been on a spiritual healing journey for more than 18 years ❤
    Thus, depression, anxiety and many many others mental / psychological issues people / complain from are actually symptoms of those core patterns ( which of course are run so deep on a SOUL level) ..
    I truly wish I can spread and share this knowledge with everyone ❤

    • @Souhaird
      @Souhaird 3 месяца назад

      @ Danny… I see your pain when you repeated more than once that you feel the ‘need to withdraw’ as there is this voice of ‘ what do they want from me?’ And this is a core wound of a parentified and triangulated child whose wales expected to give, provide and support ( a lot is expected or asked of him covertly or overtly) so the child’s nervous system becomes hyper vigilant towards external demands …

      Humans are of the animal species maybe the only ones that’s dependent on others in their time of disability one sickness. They just can’t go in the forest and die. So it’s acceptable for to be dependent on your offspring to take care of you if they want to. The joy and the ascension that occurs when you offer service to your parents and or others in their time of need cannot be explained.. we are humans and we’re not here for ourselves alone.

    I completely resonate with Danny it’s like I’m living the same life … to taking care of my mother becoming the man of the house (financially speaking) from an early age… to my father also being aloof or like how Danny describes his dad … to relationship with men being difficult as well as not liking ppl needing me or needing something from me 😮😅 sheesh!

    The reason i dont like getting help from people or being a burden is that i then feel i owe people. If I get helped then i automatically feel i owe them favours. And if they once ask for help back i feel obligated to help them, and then i wont wanna help them if I feel i actually own them something. That's why if i don't get help i owe people nothing, and then it's easier to say no or yes when they ask 🙈👻😅

    Mine is unspoken ...it is an instinct with some people to not let them close. But with family members it is an excruciating pretence I go through because I was betrayed once ... so they are not to be trusted again. The Mother wound
    In those moments I honestly believe/feel my survival is at stale...thank you.🙏🌷

    Since I enrolled into awekenu, i watched every episode of the higher self. I didn't watch this one before though.
    2 days ago I have been asked to write my personal narrative by the shaman that will held my Ayahuasca ceremony next week.
    I wrote 5 pages of stories, emotions and fears.
    Today i woke up with this episode as a first suggestion on my phone.
    Listening to you 2 it was like re-reading my personal narrative.
    I felt all the pain but also the love.
    I have got download of what it will be. I loved the sincronicity that the source has brought it to me.
    Before I was not ready to listen to this episode. Thank you Danny and David for this heartful, honest, powerful, humbled Firstly, It gave me the strength to keep believing in my self. I m not going crazy with all my beliefs and life's choice. Secondly the strength to be vulnerable and write a comment. To voice my experience and make it as a valuable one. I have power and strength in my words and i need to use them , not hide them.

    I ABSOLUTELY love Danny and I’ve grown beyond words every time I have to pleasure to virtually be mentored by him via his podcast/vlog… BUT, he masterfully (though I believe subconsciously) shifted the conversation regarding his “shadow” from 1:16:28-1:18:35 (1:20:06 more precisely). I hope as he continues to evolve that he will find comfort in sharing this part of his duality even if it’s never publicly. I too struggle with this as well as the other aspects that he was transparent about such as dealing with other men, being taken care of, cutting people off after being let down etc. I hope that as I confront my “dark passenger” that he too will… who knows, perhaps someday our shadows will cross paths, be assholes to each other and then share a laugh knowing that our shadows just boxed… only the universe knows 🤔

    My mother who didn’t raise me, and what few times I did see her, were… not good. She has been living outside my hm a couple yrs now, and it has been a lot to surrender to.
    This glimpse of this moments coming to you, gives me hope to learn more through this. And to hear, Honor your parents bc you couldn’t be here without them, is real honor, but as a girl from a bad mother, to being a woman with a begging mother, is deep. I’m still figuring it out. How to keep my heart protected and how to surrender choosing this to be a pet in our story together now. I too, realize and know my own mother has healing she may never work through…. Okay I gotta keep Watching.

    So Danny rejects people that let him down. I think it's a matter for observation for him. If someone lets you down once, ok. If it's twice, not so good. Three times, that person is not reliable. However, it is good to be open to the idea that someone may not be "letting you down" but it appears to be that way because if extenuating circumstances. Also, what can one live with? I prefer if someone does what they say they will do; I try to show up when I say I will. Can I tolerate someone who is rarely reiable? Probably not. Why do I have an issue with someone who is unreliable? . It seems Danny found hinself in a situatiin where he was "it" in relation to his family and he followed through. Of course, there are goiing ti be scars from this requirement. Mostly because Danny needs to make up for this by developing unconditional love for his mother and father. At the same time Danny possesses the quality of reliability, and deserves loved ones around who also possess that quality.
    So, Danny may enjoy taking care of his friends. So he needs to let them take care of him sometimes. If they give him a birthday party, he will have to not say or anything, smile and enjoy it! Let them pick up the tab. Let someone else find a solution to a problem. Let others be kind and thoughtful towatds him; enjoy and accept it. Interesting questions these. I have known AwakenHireSelf for more than a year, practically Danny, and this is the first time I see him barely finding his words, blasting, and being uncomfortable with what his own life brought him to be! It is so understandable now where he is coming to this attitude of conquer, adamant that he is carried on. Keep going on your journey to heal, give us more lessons, and bring them into our lives.

    This was such a beautiful healing exchange. Definitely saw my blind spot of feeling on the outside of things... always the outcast or misunderstood, yet guarded on what & who I let in.

    I must say i appreciate your vulnerability. It was good seeing you in that seat for a change, it only shows that we are a work in progress. I could also see your still have blind spots, but thank you for letting the world in.
