Yo this is such a win for arri simple new stuff but I’m sure for big productions this was already been in the talks of needing something like this. Can’t wait whenever I get into the industry to use one of these and eventually buy one 😮💨
Hi there, ARRI cameras don't have a maximum lifespan, we have seen cameras in perfect working order with well over 20,000 hours on the clock. Regular servicing will prolong the lifespan of any camera.
Hi there, thanks for the question. We believe in offering options to cinematographers, as each project requires its own approach - some are better suited to large format, and some to Super 35. We had many requests from DPs to introduce a new S35 camera, as that is the format that has the longest historical legacy with filmmaking, and many creatives were excited to use their existing S35 lenses on a next-generation camera. The new sensor technology in the ALEXA 35 is only available with Super 35 sized sensors currently.
4-perf Super 35 is the equivalent standard in the cinematography world that full frame 8-perf 35mm is in the still photography world. Full frame cinematography is considered large format, and is used on the ALEXA LF and Mini LF for IMAX-certified movies that utilize taller aspect ratios like 1.90:1 (Marvel, DC) and 1.43:1 (Dune)
Hello;; one more question,what type of shutter hollywood uses to make movies,mechanical or electronic,I'am a movie fan,and like to know these things,thanks for your reply............
Hi Paul, just about all movies now shot with a digital camera use an electronic shutter. Movies shot on motion picture film by their nature use a mechanical shutter.
Film cameras use two reels. Of whatever size. For both format size. As well as for film volume. Each reel needs to be supported i dependently. Of each other, including being able to. Run the film through the video camera. I remember those days.
I heard the great people over at Arri have the 'Franz Wieser grant'. I have a powerful film Idea i've been doing pre poduction for, what would it take for a low income film maker to access this grant? I will go above and beyond for this film, it's very dear to my heart, It's one of my life's missions. I realize that the grant is full for 2023, but is there any way to secure a spot for 2024?
Thank you for your interest, since the restructure and redesign for our program is still in progress, we cannot accept applications for 2024 at this time. We will be sure to update you and the filmmaking community as soon as more details become available.

Hey Mark, Great Video, You’re an ARRI Legend - can’t wait to shoot the 35
A work of beauty.
couldn't wait to see ALEV 4 result and texture
Does the sound module support 32bit floating point audio? That would be ideal from a documentary point of view.
Hey Simon, it does not but thank you for the suggestion!
What is the maximum resource of Alexa classic cameras? Hours? Thank you!

@@ARRIChannel Hi. What is the service period? hours
My question is, if most movies are recorded on full frame. Why is Arri directing a lot of money. Into the s35 format size?

Hello;
The shutter is electronic or mechanical,,,,,,,,,,,,how it works
Hi Paul, the shutter in the ALEXA 35 is mechanical. Only the ALEXA Studio models have a mechanical shutter and optical viewfinder.
@@ARRIChannel Hello;
You said the studio models have a mechanical shutter,is this a digital camera the studio type,or film.
