Sorry about your mishap at the airport with your daughter's baby-doll. We just returned not long ago from Pigeon Forge. Best highlight was the Christmas show at the Stampede. Our family will never go again for Thanksgiving and the Black Friday Shopping. The people are rude. The food even at the Five Oaks Farm House Restaurant was cold after the long wait. We never thought about reservation call in first. Gatlinburg Aquarium was full and NO PARKING ANYWHERE. The Parking Attendants were very very rude. We came back to Pigeon Forge not even getting out of our car. I pray you have a better experience for Christmas. God Bless you and your family and have a very Merry Christmas.
I'm sorry to hear you had such a rough time! In all the years of visiting the area, I have never run into rude people everywhere we went. I'm sure maybe 1 or so. Being from Florida we deal with rude people all the time lol. This place is growing a lot and there are a lot more people. We have visited Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg over the years but I can't say we have been on Black Friday. I do like the fall time there but when it comes to Winter Fest it's cold in the Smokies! Dollywood was 32* all day long..... We pushed through the day. I had forgotten how cold 32* feels seeing we live in sunny Florida. Its been years since we visited Dollywood in December. We did go prepared with heavy coats gloves etc. We had a great time. I did not like the Five Oaks Farm Kitchen because of the seating as it only has benches with no backs. So we skipped that this time. Our favorite place we always have to eat each time we visit is Huck Finns Restaurant. If you haven't been to Huck Finn's i highly recommend it!!!!!
