- Another Seahawks game that came down to the wire, and took a last minute drive to seal the deal. It was gritty kind of affair but the Seahawks with the win wrestled back control of their playoff aspirations, and can perhaps continue to build on this momentum going forward. Let's unpack this big win.

@@TheHawksNest12thman excellent..... Have a great Christmas, sir and glad kitty is gorged..... Save him some turkey 🦃😝
@@bboylorettoEight08 thank you, sir .... Merry Christmas to you and the 12 Nation 💙💚👍
Does it seem to anyone else that last Monday's game was so thrilling and exciting that we all collectively decided to enter a time warp and just replay that one game? 😂 Go Hawks!
Yea. Against a really crappy teams though. So awesome!!!
There's a difference between the two. Last week could have been expected being the alnlmigty Eagles then winning in the clutch. This game was a huge disappointment with a "Thank God!" at the end because they are a sub par losing team. We should have won by at least 7-10.
This was the perfect Pete Carroll game. Play conservatively, keep the score close and then open up the offense and win it in the 4th quarter. It's too bad we can't win this way against good teams in the playoffs.
It's a horrible way to play professional football. It's because Pete doesn't know how to control and dominate games offensively. So, we're always stuck with an unrealistic comeback needed, or a close, 4th qtr drive that can win it.
@@TheFrenchPug That's just it, he doesn't want to dominate games offensively. He is defensive coach, he wants to dominate defensively. Except he can't because he doesn't know how to coach defense. Look every time the offense played well in the first half, he's defense has look terrible. Then he has to answer why the defense is so bad, and he can't have that. He would rather the offense take the blame then his defense.
@@nerinamak3298 ant argue with that. It's the product he puts out there for the world to see. Other teams really have to be pissed off when they lose to us.
Merry Christmas All!! Thanks for the stream while Santa is wrapping some presents 🎁
Thanks, Nolan. I hope you're having a great Christmas!
Merry Christmas Brandon!!! Go Hawks
Merry Christmas, Wheeler! Go Hawks!
Go Seahawks!! Well done to Parkinson on the TD!!
We won.... Awesome... . Merry Christmas from England.... Keep on keeping on sir 💙💚
Thank you, Billy. Merry Christmas!💙💚
That’s Pete Carroll football at its essence! Force the QB to make multiple 4th quarter game winning drives because the offense couldn’t move the ball through the first three quarters and the D couldn’t make enough stops! Doesn’t matter if it’s Geno or Lock-the story is the same! It was less stressful with Russ, but the game plan is the same: have a bad OLine, an undisciplined D, and a clutch QB. But if it works…
Don't you know by now it is more or less by design that the offense play this way for the first 3 quarters. All Pete want to do is to keep the score close and win it in the 4th. If the offense scores early and often that will compel the opposition to keep up with the scoring which will expose the bad defense. We saw that during the "let Russ cook" era. Pete has been sacrificing the offense to help his defense for years, all because he is a defensive minded coach who can't coach defense.
Yes!!! Another, rare, acutely observant Seahawks fan with no rose colored glasses. Thank you for being honest. I'm glad we won, but we both know this is not championship winning football.
@@nerinamak3298I guarantee it's not by design. It's Pete's inability to put together a cohesive team who knows how to control a game offensively and has to wear his defense down every game due to lack of offensive clock time.
@@TheFrenchPug Look if the offense struggles people blames Waldron or Geno or Russ, but if the defense struggles it falls squarely on Pete. And he can't have that. You think it's by accident that this team have so many 4th quarter comebacks? Why is it they can suddenly turn the offense on when they have to? It's all part of his game plan to protect his defense.
@@nerinamak3298 That's a load of crap. Pete is not an offensive coach yet tries to control what his O.C. can do. He is hell bent on running the ball, even if it's into brick wall defenses. By the time he realizes it's not working, then he begs his qb and O.C. to bail him out in the 4th quarter. Look at how badly we struggled against the practice squad of Tennessee through 3 quarters. Then, all of the sudden, we can pass, run, hit slants, run reverses, and score in the red zone? You don't see something wrong with that?
Merry Christmas Brandon! You have done a great job for us here all season being here for us and keeping us together trough the good and the bad! Wish you Health and Happiness all else comes on its own!
This is Brandon. Brendon is our Korean fellow 12. If it helps you remember, just think brAndon as in Auropean, and brEndon as in Esian. Simple. :)
@@lestercross5123 I am sure he knows I am talking about him and not feel insulted by my misspelling. I been active in all his shows so he knows I mean all good things :)
Thank you so much, Stoyan. I appreciate that, and definitely I wish you and yours the same. Merry Christmas!
@@TheHawksNest12thman❤😊
What are your thoughts on Waldron calling the same run play twice in the RedZone? I like the idea of running when the team needs 2-3 yards. But to run the same play twice is puzzling.
It's Pete's stupid ego.
Not a fan of calling the same play back to back. If Waldron's sequencing right, he can come out in the same formation, but then the idea would be to run offshoot routes, or a run that runs counter to the play you just ran out of the same formation. That's kind of how the Rams do it.
@TheHawksNest12thman Agreed. Whatever the Rams are doing...we should be doing!
@@TheHawksNest12thman I wouldn't mind more pre-snap motion running the same play twice. Doesn't have to be the same motions or shifts, just different enough to get the front 7 overthinkin' it. When your O line is having trouble opening holes, though, it's not advisable to run the same play back-to-back or you're feeding into the definition of insanity. That approach only works if your line creates the lanes you want, where the RB can just hit the hole hard and blast out like a cannon. If the O line isn't consistent it's exponentially better to dial up something completely different from the last play you ran.
When we dropped into shotgun on the 2 yards line, I was already pulling my hair out before the ball was snapped. Yelling at the TV "No! Why are we in Shotgun?!" Got dropped for a four yard loss... Everyone saw that run play coming.
Yes im awake
I'm always trying to figure out what people think could be better than Wagner. It seems like people think there are a plethora of 275 lb, 4.3 forty time, sideline to sideline linebackers that don't need a defensive line in front of them and are perfect in pass coverage.
Whom are you describing? Because that's definitely NOT Bobby in '23.
Merry Christmas Brandon.
Go Hawks!!!
Merry Christmas! Go Hawks!
Merry Christmas, Season's Greeting, & Happy Holidays Brandon! Always like to catch your shorts, due to my time. Cheers Sir!
Merry Christmas, Drew, and Happy Holidays! I'll try and keep more of the shorter content coming. Appreciate you!
Drew gave us excited, Geno gave us heart attack 😢
Yeah and while we're busy recovering from multiple strokes the one guy who ISN'T sweating it is Geno Smith. Two things course through his veins: Ice, and FIRE. Cool and in control in the most tenuous of circumstances, but don't piss him off. When he gets angry he becomes _deadly_ accurate and on point with his reads. That said, DO piss him off. He'll light it up.
Lions always helping us make the playoffs
Merry Christmas; Nice review; well described; thank you
Merry Christmas! Thank you so much!
Thanks for streaming the games and the content.
My pleasure. Thank you for watching!
Onto the Steelers next 😈
I hope we win out and make the playoffs
The Steelers have really tightened it up lately. They're not coming just to experience the 12s. We won't be ready because Pete doesn't prepare his team except for the 2 min drive drills.
@@TheFrenchPug That's my single biggest worry here. Steelers have all-pro's on their front 7, and I'm not at all sure the Hawks can stay disciplined either at the line or in the secondary. Clint needs to exact some damned _discipline_ with the pass rush; make Rudolph uncomfortable and we can contain them enough to make up for our lack of production on offense. You know we're always stumbling outta the gate, so it's crucial to not let Pittsburgh get ahead in this game.
@briane173 It will be another come from behind game unless the Steelers succumb to the nuances of Lumen Field (can't remember the last time Tomlin has been in Seattle). Steelers are hit or miss this year. Pete isn't able to dominate or control a game, and the Steelers aren't messing around right now.
Idk about y’all but I missed Jamal feel he could’ve slide in for brooks
Pete Carroll seems to have decided his winning strategy. Treat every team, be it a possible SB contending team, PHI, or one not making the playoffs, TEN, the exact same way with a HEART ATTACK WIN!
It's because he doesn't know how to coach and control or dominate a game with offense. He'd rather have his defense on the field watching them all day.
That's a fat sweater dude. I'm still waiting for my coaches Hoodie and the throwback with the Seahawk logo,to come in the mail. Happy Holidays from Olympia
Shane and Geno have made Seahawks offense predictable.
Almost as predictable as toxic comments from fans like you.
@@randyrenner7643 Toxic? Your band wagon is worse than toxic? Just opinion, dont be too serious.
Great content as always! Keep it up Brandon!
I was thinking about starting a channel and was wondering how you use the highlights without getting flagged? Just using short clips?
Thanks, Drew!
@@TheHawksNest12thman no problem! Any advice on starting up a channel?
We’re not going far if we keep relying on the last minute drive. We need to drive like that when we’re up by a touchdown. The way these refs are we can’t rely on close games . Also Geno has to start running the ball to throw the defense off.
Um....no. Geno runs, Geno gets hurt, we're back to Drew.
A better idea would be to fix the run game. Seattle's best years were when they were running the ball and making hay with play action.
And it's not like they've played a cupcake schedule Defensively. Even the Titans were the number one RedZone D in the league.
Kitty 😸
if second half Geno would show up the entire game maybe a lot of these wont be heart attack inducing sheesh. lol
O lines fault
I feel like Pete has handcuffs on the offense and how it is run until the 4th quarter and he takes off the reigns because he doesn't have a choice. I wouldn't blame it on Geno specifically. It seems more like a coaching and play calling decision. Pete has always had a very conservative play style.
I knew it.
Being at this game allowed me to witness the blatant lack of discipline. It’s something I saw before this game on the kj wright podcast where Pete said “idk, ask them” in response to “have you got your guys to buy in?” Sounds to me like he’s lost the locker room. That would help explain the lack of discipline that was again showcasing itself today. Worrying signs, but a win is a win and GO HAWKS
Stop with this bs. KJ doesn't know shit about what's going on in that locker room. If what he claims is true then perhaps he should put some player names to his claims.
I unsubscribed from KJ's show after he put that shit out there. If Pete's "lost the locker room" then how do you explain 35 points vs the Cowboys and gutsy wins vs the Titans and Eagles?
I assume you're putting money on these games. It's the only reason I can see to get one's panties in a bunch over a "game". I've been a fan of the Seahawks since '76 and I've never publicly melted down over my team's performance during a rebuild.
If you thought the Hawks would be dominant this season then you weren't paying attention.
Don't say, "a win is win." You were sounding like a very logical person and fan until you said that.
We got a win, yes. But we don't want to have to win like this. It's actually playing losing football and then getting very lucky.
@sptt144 Exactly!!! I don't get these fans who can't see that the emperor has no clothes.
Great to hear a no agenda analysis. The agenda from others is that we need to lose games so that Pete can be fired. Week minds equal week fans. Go Hawks
Yeeahhhhhh..
Sorry... I don't really think that this team is going very much farther... 😢
Need to see 4 quarters of football from Geno...
I get confused with this team.. hope we don't draw the Rams in the playoffs.... Playoffs!!?😂
@@stevengirouard6840you probably didn't see them winning the last two either....so
@@stevengirouard6840why tf is it always Geno? If you want to point at a reason for close games and losses just look to the other side of the ball. This defense has far more problems than Geno and the offense.
Thanks, PC. Go Hawks!
Just think, with the way the refs are playing this year we could be Superbowl Champions!!! Got to think positive!!!
I'm starting to feel better the ravens beat seattle. But still have major concerns with seattle mediocrity and simply making the playoffs won't solve it. If they make they playoffs its because of the talent of this team not coaching. But I have a young defensive coach I would like to see as head coach. The Baltimore ravens defensive coordinator McDonald. But he will need a good offensive coordinator.
I still do not thank geino is our QB for the seahawks
all the win did was extend pete's time here in seattle. while i believe we have the talent to do well in the playoffs on the field the Head coach WILL be out coached every time
Doesn't matter..do you see how many players the 49ers have.. seriously. We don't do shit to improve the team EVER. We over pay for average guys. DK stats every week..average. Geno.. literally won comeback player of the year for going from terrible to average. Kenneth Walker every week average. Don't even get me started on that waste of $ and way to many draft picks Jamal Adams. Can't even beat the Rams who have literally 4 guys..
geno had NEVER been any where he needed to COME BACK to....
