You played amazing. I like that while you didn’t die you showed some mistakes during the training sessions for example. This is always hard for me even those I beat the game many times
I overplayed this game in the late 80s on my Sega Master! The last three training dojos were brutal. I love the final castle's eerie music. A remade Kenseiden could easily be converted into an action-rpg one on today's platforms (à la Nioh).
shinobi is a shooter with melee when too close. But I wish there were more games like this, were you get to use sword techniques, instead of fantasy magic/items.
Kenseiden's FM Music is really something special. The "original" PSG sound is more melodic, but some times too brighter to a game that is meant do be dark, but the FM Sound hits the atmosphere just right. It's just sad how Sega Of America changed Yamato's Hair colors to black and silver, and every single object and enemy that used this palette got shades of silver and black, making the game less colorful, and making the graphics look weak and losing various details the original Japanese version (where Yamato is blonde) had.
@@peposo7 Yes, it's the same item always. If I remember, it's a healing item, so if you are fully healed, don't need to choose the lower entrance and grab this item...

Man, the holding crouched defense is so OP
Really...
Not even. This game needed it to make it bearable for beginners
Love this game, cool video man.
Thanks...
I remember this game. I loved it. I think it was best " Shinobi " stile game on SMS

"Thou art a novice."
Oh, I'm sorry I can't dodge a hail randomly spawning arrows midair.
seems pretty cool

Never heard this game sound like this is this that FM sound? Loved this game growing up though
That FM chip was a Japanese exclusive hardware for Master System sounding.
The BGM in this version sucks compared to what the US had.
@Gee Em I don't know about that, the FM sound makes the music better than the shrill sound of specific tracks for US version.
I prefer the fm sound on this game. The soundtrack is under rated as the game is obscure
So is this a remaster? The sound is different. Still good, just wondering.
@@ABCMeEFG This is not a remaster, and the sound is different because of FM Sound...
Wow this sounds great what was altered w sound?
Just saw below comment never mind
8:11 - What happens if you go to the lower entrance?
@@peposo7 the lower entrance have an item only...
@@RichterMasters and then you turn back? Is it the same item always? I wonder what it is...

FM sound... Prefer the original
In this game, I prefer the FM Sound...
Prefiro o som original
Psg sound was good but the FM sound took the edge of the music on some stages and made it better
