- From Leicester City and their 5,000/1 odds title win in 2015-16 to Manchester United during their 1999 treble winning season, HITC Sevens takes a look at the 7 worst Premier League title winning teams in terms of points totals.

Do a Premier League top scoring 11 from each position. This would include the top scoring GK, top scoring RB, CBs,... and so on, during the PL era.

For once that's a bad thing for spurs 😂

But they are not interested in titles anyways so joke's on you "champions" and "winners"... *Cries in the corner in Pochettinese.

Man United really did dominate, sad to see how bad we are now

This shows how competitive the league was.
@jermaine tobin yes it does
Philip joshua or everyone just wasn’t that good and the overall quality was poor
Less points for the first placed team means they were less dominant not worse. Saying more competitive is fair.
The league was more competitive as the overal level of teams was lower. Once quality opponents (Arsenal, Chelsea en City at the end) arose it became more difficult to dominate for United.
yes it WAS
7 managers with the most relegations
1:26
That aged well
You don’t need a team full of brilliant players to win a league, as long as you have workers and a team who fit together your good
This video would be less divisive if you called it “7 teams that won the Premier League with the lowest points total” rather than “7 worse teams”.
You acknowledged yourself that a lot of the time it has to do with how competitive the other teams are that year
It doesn’t mean the prem winners were the worst it just means the prem was way more competitive than what it is now.
United, Leicester, United, United, United, Arsenal, United
...
Finally, you did my request...Thank you HITC Sevens...
Hope you do a La Liga version too...
Can you dig it? Sucka!!!
3:14 Arsenal weren't runners up that season, they finished 4th. Chelsea were runners up.
In league tables, it's never the number on the right that matters, it's the number on the left.
Do 7 players who've won two different league titles in a single season.
Let's vote.
Well that can only happen if a player from outside europe moved to europe or vice versa.. but, im down if there is such a player..

@@RenegadeShepard69 Thanks dude.
Stupid suggestion mate, you're a mug.
@@cashewpistachio1826 Seems like this "stupid suggestion" as you described it is going to be uploaded sooner rather than later.
So let me get this straight Jose Mourinho's mufc finished the 17-18 season 2nd place but were scrutinized
Even though they had more pts than 6 of their pl title winning teams
That finish was so underrated
Jose did do well for utd
It's just that city were out of this world
Also goes to show how overrated United and Fergie were winning league titles against almost no competition. How can you get 75 points and still finish 7 points ahead of 2nd place.
Some of the contributing factors for Manchester United's comparatively low title-winning points' totals are:
1. Shearer, Le Tissier, Fowler, Owen, Sheringham, Ferdinand, Collymore, Wright, Henry... and many other proven goal scorers. (Strikers win you games.)
2. squad size (no mass rotations back in the day!)
3. advances in tactics (this now makes it easier for quality players and teams to dominate and insulate themselves from the same helter-skelter madness of English-style 4-4-2)
4. attacking players are now much better protected (strikers and creative players of all stripes enjoy significantly greater protection from match officials; this tilts the balance in favour of quality and clubs with bags of money)
*Less generally, the 95/96 first team was full of youngsters in their professional infancy and so prone to inconsistent results. The treble-winning squad of 98/99 was battling on many fronts, for many months, against serious opposition and without anything like the money, size of squad, or quality of squad that City and even Chelsea could call on in more recent times.

i dnt really think this video is fair, football has changed so much in the 22 or years since that man utd 97 team, success is all down to who has the most money now also the pl has declined in competitivness where we now only have 2 teams wiv a chance of winning the league. tha season 4 teams were within 7 points !! the reason they only won 21 games is beacause the other teams were better than they ate today.
@10.10 23.0 without being disrespectfull i dnt understand what you comment has to do with my comment............1ŕ
Sir Alex's last season Man U had a shocking team cant believe they won. Ohhhh mathematically never mind.
Michael Mearney Shocking team. Rooney, RVP, Hernandez, Giggs, Scholes, Ferdinand, Vidic, Evra, Nani, De Gea, even players like Welbeck and Carrick were decent. I know some players were aged like Giggs and Scholes but it was still a class team.
@@accountuser5588 Go look at the Stats most of the players you listed had bad seasons. It was a title won by roll players.
Edward 2012 we were awful that season. But the rest were also awful. So yeah yeah
They had prime RVP and Rooney who could still produce goals, surround that with slightly above average players, decent tactics and a decent goalkeeper..
Ronald Cole our defense was old . Wing play was average. Midfield was old. It was a poor side but experience and great management got us to the finishing line. And also RVP and Rooney ❤️
Fewest points doesnt make them 'worse'. Citys 100 points literally showed how shit the league as been. That team wouldnt have got anywhere near 100 points in at least 15 seasons.
Before Cities 100 points we saw many teams struggle to come even close to this total amount of points. While other top teams still struggle to get their wins. Maybe the level of the English elite has just improved a lot. City en Liverpool are in my opinion the best English PL teams over the last decade.
I have a video idea, what about Zlatans last game for PSG's XI, where are they now?

Not sure if this is the fairest comparison as the premier league had 22 teams and 42 games up until, the 94/95 season..

Leicester didn't deserve a premier league spot anyway after buying the championship and league one. But I am glad someone outside the top 6 did win the league.
Do same with best runners up
How the heck Arsenal were unbeaten in 2003-4 and still had just 90 points while Chelsea lost 5 games and still got 93 points in 2016-17 ?
Imagine if these teams were in the same season all of Arsenal's hardwork trying to be unbeatable would be thrown down the drain
And had Chelsea won the 3rd to final game against United in 2010/11 then the final 2 weeks of that season would've been intriguing so Chelsea did give United a scare that season
Do Best Relegated teams in terms of points attained in the Premier League.
Good idea. Only makes sense.
Can't believe it was arsenal that came 2nd behind Leicester
Do the best teams to win the pl
I'd like to see seven best clubs to have never won the league (but not based on points tally)
Top 7 best sides Sunderland lost against?
Do premier league highest top scoring winners eg Man City 2017/18
People say nowadays anyone can beat anyone yet majority of lowest point totals are over 15 years go. The league is more cash heavy than ever.
Now make avideo about the highest and lowest points a runner up club got.
Do the worst relegated sides
Derby county....
Sunderland with 14 points, villa with 17 points
People said draws wouldn't be enough for liverpool this season... boy are they relentless now
Last 7 top assisters in the prem, where are they now
You could argue it was more competitive back then
1:39 That *Infamous Rant* came during the last week of the season, after Man United overtook Newcastle in the league. Keegan lost his sh** in a post-match interview after Newcastle beat Leeds 1-0 on the Monday night, a few weeks after Man U also beat Leeds 1-0 and Ferguson said they (Leeds) should be challenging for the title.
After Newcastle beat Leeds they had a game in hand on the Thursday night, against Nottingham Forest. They drew 1-1 and so the title was out of their hands.
I remember 10 years ago playing fifa and winning the league on goal difference with 67 points, I was sure that'd be a record
We used to dominate even with low points. Now we are a laughing stock in the league. Its actually so annoying how we are called a shit club now even though we were beating everyone just 7 years ago.
It's literally impossible to believe a team won the league title with a average of less than 2 points per game, actually as a Tottenham fan I'm fuming thinking of what might of been.
1:43 - Do he didn't. That's not what he was talking about at all.
So the team that won the treble, beat Juventus, Inter Milan, Bayern Munich, and were unbeaten in two group games against Barcelona, and who only lost 3 games all season, were one of the worst teams to ever win the Premier League?
If you're going by points total, I guess it makes some sense, but the average points totals back then were far fewer because the league was harder and great players were spread out more. That season, United had their stars, Arsenal had Vieira, Bergkhamp etc, Chelsea had Zola, Leeds had Hasselbaink, fucking Southampton had Matt Le Tissier, Liverpool had Owen, Fowler, Redknapp etc.
Now try and name me one world class player in the Premier League outside of City, Liverpool and maybe Spurs.
It's just proof that the gap between the biggest teams and the rest has gotten bigger
Was anyone else expecting blackburn
7 biggest point difference between First and second team in pl
No question it's Blackburn in 95.
United didn't have Cantona for the final 7 games and Kanchelskis for the final 9.
Second Leicester few years back.
Sorry Leicester...Chelsea were on strike.
City had a manager who'd already quit. United had a manager who everyone wishes HAD quit.
Arsenal were in decline and Spurs finished 3rd in a 2 horse race.
3:14 runners up were Chelsea bro🤨

7 biggest turning points in football history. Rule changes, tournaments, players etc etc
The worst one might be Man City where they were fighting Liverpool, then Leicester. English footy was very average in this period.
Only took a minute to get into the video this time, progress
2010/11 season Arsenal finished 4th. They fell by the wayside after losing the League Cup final to Birmingham.
Misleading title it says 7 worst premier league winning sides the Fergies teams had legends in them that could of played for nearly any team they went for
Chelsea came 2nd in the 10/11 season not arsenal

Yeh ik I realised that 2
What Leicester did was amazing but they managed to pull it off at the best time because the “top six” weren’t at their best tbh chelsea had a horrible season and both Manchester sides were average considering their success meanwhile Liverpool were non existent back then and we had arsenal and spurs who bottled it. And it was one of the best seasons in pl history even if you are not a Leicester fan
81 and 82 points from 38 games is not worse than 84 points from 42 games
They won so much that every trophy haul in PL era is about them.
