We have just completed a wonderful trip exploring the El Cid Spa and Beach resort complex in Riviera Maya, Mexico. This complex is made up of 3 distinct properties; Hotel Marina El Cid, Ventus El Cid, Ventus Ha' El Cid and we are going to tell you about all of them in upcoming videos.
This was our 6th trip to the El Cid properties and it was the resort we chose for our multi generational family trip celebrating my parents 50th wedding anniversary. We first brought our kids to this resort a decade ago and It has continued to impress us over the years.
This is a walkthrough of the Hotel Marina El Cid section of the property. We hope this helps give you an idea of the resort aesthetic, its layout and its beachfront location.
Enjoy this fun journey through the property and stay tuned for our more in depth videos telling you everything you need to know about our experience, the restaurants, the bars and the different suite options. As always, we hope our videos help you to decide if these resorts are right for you Enjoy!

Hi Nancy, great video as usual, but I miss your walk and talk. It's like having your own resort; I think I only saw two people. I like the lobby, it's nice and bright. Can't wait for next weeks video. Happy 50th anniversary to your parents!

@@davidng407 Thank you David! Tomorrow's video is full of my talking lol!
We try and get up early to video. Especially at family resorts with children.
I will pass on your congratulations to my parents. They are inspirational to me and I am so very blessed to have them.
      Enjoy your weekend! 🙂

Hi Nancy. Love your videos and your honesty. Do you prefer Marina El Cid or Iberostar properties for families? I have boys aged 21, 19 and 16 who still travel with us on occasion.

Hmm....honestly, I think I would prefer the El Cid properties. But that is me. I think Iberostar Paraiso Maya would also be a really good choice.
I would choose El Cid because I like no limits on my dinner reservations. I like the opportunity to regroup with my kids at dinner without having someone always up and down to the buffet.
Maya is great if you like the option for the water park and lazy river. It has an excellent pool and a better beach than El Cid.
I really like the 2 bedroom suites at Ventus El Cid or Hotel Marina El Cid. If you can find a good price those rooms are fantastic for families with older kids.
Ventus also has some good one bedroom suites that connect to a jr suite but they won't guarantee the connecting rooms.
I believe Ventus Ha' has the most connecting rooms on the property.
      Hope that helps! ☺️
