I heard Speed Racer is getting a reboot, and I was thinking if Tatsunoko Production decides to team up with Funimation or even Bang Zoom! Entertainment to make the new version of the Anime, THIS should be it's new opening theme song! =D

@@princesspeachfan100 Takumi-san is right. This is the theme song of the Speed Racer reboot from the '90s, hence the title of this song being called Mach GoGoGo 1997. The same anime was brought to the west on Nickelodean as Speed Racer X. Looking on Wikipedia, the 1997 version with original Japanese audio and English subtitles were released in the U.S. by Funimation in 2017 as Mach Go Go Go: Restart.
What's funny about this cover is it sounds more like the Speed Racer version of the theme than the original Mach GoGoGo. I guess it's the jauntier tune and the lone singer rather than the male chorus of the original.
@@GiratinaGX I just explained why. If you listen to the original version of this song, it's a lot more bombastic, epic, sung by a male chorus. Here, it's sung by a lone guy, and it's jauntier, carrying VERY similar vibes to the Speed Racer version of the song. It might just be a coincidence in the end, but it does make you think it might be possible that this version could have been influenced by the Speed Racer version
You’re probably onto something there, since the 90s Mach GoGoGo _was_ made with the intention of being localized since Tatsunoko has always been aware of its overseas popularity. Sadly, it’s a localization which never came to pass.

I can tell you that this is pretty standard 90’s J-pop style which is closer to another racing anime from around the same time, Initial D, and not at all similar to the American Speed Racer theme, which is also sung by a male chorus, so this distinction isn’t as clear cut as you’re making it out to be.

The version on the movie is awsome too, not everything needs to be nostalgic, although there is classic song in the movie too.
