hooray I voted for more of this, Stationeers is a fun one, I'm a nerd lol I love the random trivia you give out about the actual stats of different things.
Pressure regulator is better choice than Volume pump to fill canisters. It does work as pump aswell and you can set up limit against overpressure(~8000kPa), so you dont need to worry about blowing it up.
What I really love about Stationeers is the fact, that every button, light, vent, or other stuff that would be purely decorative in other games has a function. If you walk down a corridor, and there are two vents, a pipe meter on the wall, a door control panel, light switches etc. - not a single of them is just decorum. (Well unless you put them there without functionality purely for decorative sakes you weirdo)
"Welcome my fellow europans" Me: Wait how did you know im watching this from Europe!? Also me: Remembers that its the name of the moon Rhadamant is playing on... Close mindfuck. Almost got me Rhadamant... Keep up the great content :)
@@Rhadamant - I basically started playing again, had a rough Europa start, decided to start a new one, and everything is seeming to settle a little at the moment, however I'm having some sort of issue with setting up the airlock - weirdly I think I had it the same as yours, but it says there is an error in the system, not sure what it is, but there is some kind of error and the on/off switch is blinking - it has everything listed in the network, even all the other machines, however it had all the vents, airlocks & sensor lit up and the rest greyed out, so not really sure what exactly the error is - also, can't remember if it was the "Airlock" or the "Advanced Airlock" circuit board I was supposed to use, have to perhaps re-watch maybe that is the issue, don't know.
@Aaron - Well, that is probably actually my issue then, because I am pretty sure I used the Basic airlock circuit board, not the Advanced one; I assumed that in the early game, I wouldn't be doing anything advanced, just Basic stuff, so the Basic one is probably the one I used.
@@Arthaius Basically airlock board need o gas sensor, 2x doors and 1x active vent while advanced airlock need gas sensor, 2x doors and 2x active vents. Basic airlock expects 100+ kpa at inner side and close to vacuum at other side - it works fine on moon and Mars. You can use it on planets too but strong pressure wave will hit you when outside door opens. Best if you give airlock all setup in one go as it can freeze up when you browse too much in config and sometimes only way to refresh it is to build new board. At Europe you get both airlock boards but only one active vent in beginning so you might want to use normal airlock or better yet manually use active vent and crowbar on doors until you manage to print other active vent.
- Honestly, I think it was just a simple matter that after the save and load, obviously all of the chunks that had previously already been loaded no longer were, so he had to start from scratch, so while it did refresh the game, it also lost all of the previously loaded stuff - kind of like when you close a browser with several tabs, when you reopen it, none of those pages are loaded anymore, so , got to start from zero.
@@Rhadamant - Hmmm, I just noticed when watching that it really reminded me of Minecraft when you load into a saved game, it takes a minute for all the terrain and other stuff to load up filling in all the world holes kind of a similar effect (visually) when you saved then reloaded into the game, the terrain started appearing in bits and pieces took a few seconds, - I thought it may have been for a similar reason like that *shrug*
Can you use radiators or heat exchangers piped from the furnace into the livable space to heat the space? Never mind, you answered that question just after I posted the comment during the video.
Me - an European - approves of your greeting :D edit: also: I've read there seems to be not much water ice on Europa. I don't know if that's a bug that has been fixed already, or if it's part of the Europa challenge. But you might consider setting up a hydrogen combustor. Which might also double as base heating :D
8:12 43% percent solar potential hurts, though I suppose it could have been a lot worse. If they went with the real Jupiter light levels solar potential would only be 4%. Though that would still beat realistic wind power by a mile cause real Europa only has an atmospheric pressure of 0.1 _micro_ pascals. Nuclear would probably be the way to go in that scenario.
Europa in game has an atmo of 42KPA, which is roughly 42% of Earth's atmo, so maybe in real life its 'barely' but in game its pretty darn thick, that's many times thicker than Mars.
This seems like a game I would easily get frustrated to play. Having to constantly manually switch out the tools you need for different stages of building something is realistic, but would quickly get old for me. I don't mind complex games; my most played are games like Rimworld, HOI4, Project Zomboid, Factorio, & CK2/CK3. At least games like Raft just need a single tool for each specific task, and not half a dozen. I probably wouldn't enjoy playing it, but I do enjoy watching your gameplay.
For what it's worth, the stated goal of the game is to become a Space Station 13 successor - having the process of building/sabotaging/destroying a station completely take many steps and a bit of time is a gameplay feature for a currently un/underimplemented multiplayer scenario. Absolutely agree though, that at this point it adds tedium to building.
@@cool_mike - Okay wait ; sabotaging a space station? so is it basically going to become something like "Among Us" where Multiplayer involves some people trying to make a base work, and someone else is trying to sabotage it?
@@cool_mike I've never heard of that game. I love survivor games, not sure how this game would transition to that style of gameplay. I hope they leave just simple survivor/coop for those that just want to build/survive.
@@seth4bucks - I agree, I almost always play solo games because 99% of all Multiplayer stuff involves other people trying to kill you, and take your stuff (I.E. - RUST) and that's not my bag, if I was gonna play with other people, I would want it to be non-competitive/non-combative play - As for the game "Among Us" it's basically a multiplayer game where like several friends all join a Space Station group, and one of the players is designated (Secretly) as a saboteur, and they all run around fixing broken stuff, except for the saboteur, who tries to wreck stuff. You can only see other players when you're in the same room, so if you see someone pass by and you go into a room that has broken stuff, they are a suspect, and at the end of each round, everyone votes one person out, and at the end, if the saboteur wasn't voted out, he wins, otherwise everyone else who is still there wins, something like that, it's a funny silly little game, extremely popular, but not really my style of game type. I'm actually surprised you hadn't heard of it, it's really gotten quite the following, very popular within it's group of fans.
@Aaron Whenever I use it, it's basically to avoid inventory hassles while building large structures and avoid mining. Oh, and mass spawning nitrogen tanks to get enough gas to fill big rooms! I like the challenge of building coherent self sustaining structures, but I'm happy to skip the early game survival scramble. I'll leave the masochism to Rhadamant!
@@Rhadamant OK, cool. I thought I was going insaner and that was upsetting the voices in my head. I don't normally get that focused, but I'm having a devil of a time filling a water bottle.

Very true, everything is ice, but I can only drink SPECIAL ice.
