Her reasoning for breaking up with him still confuses me to this day. I knew she didn’t wanna get hurt but she saw how much Sunoh loves her. She hurt both of them. She used the shield to hide her feelings for Sunoh and used the spear to ring Hyeyeong’s love alarm. She lied to both of them. Yukjo treats Sunoh better anyways. He deserves someone way better then her.
I think the fact that he loved her scared her. She was used to being lonely and that changed then (and change is scary). What probably also played a part was the death of her parents which at that point she felt guilty for, and maybe she thought she didn’t deserve love or that people she loved would get hurt.

@@anniesilverfire That's honestly a very good possibility that more people should think of. I know that a lot of people are shaming Jojo's character, but at the same timeee eh. It's pretty difficult to describe, but I wouldn't say Jojo's character was horrible. The director could've added more character development (usage of the forward 3 years) but it is what it is. Very interesting story though.

What season 2? We only know season 1 episodes 1-5 😄
Netflix just wanted to get over it even if there were probably millions of fans waiting & we were patient. We didn’t complain & forced them to release s2 quickly. But what did we got? A forced up looking show (s2) & looked like it was rushed. But the actors worked hard. But, the script, dialogues, details, etc.. I wasn’t feeling it. Yes, the sad parts had a huge effect on the viewers cuz some cried. But, the fact that it didn’t make sense & how she didn’t really tell him the reason why she broke his heart in the first place, ignoring & telling him she doesn’t love him or she didn’t love him at all. I think they were probably going with the webtoon too much & maybe overdo it & did it the same exact version, that maybe the webtoon didn’t made sense, then the s2 also didn’t made sense. Anyways, She only told him about the shield, which was pretty annoying cuz like that shouldn’t be the reason why she told him that he didn’t love him at all (s1). It’s only a shield for an app, but no excuse for what her words she said to him before.

What makes me mad is that Sun Oh was already a wounded soul with a traumatic past and un-loving parents. JoJo was the source of true joy and happiness for the first time in his life. Then she took that away for no reason and left him wounded and abandoned. Like why would you do that to him?!? In the end nothing got better for him. Just worse. Sad and abandoned.

PLS WHY IS THIS ME. I was watching s2 in my living room with my sister and when i finished it i literally went to my room and laid in my bed thinking what did i just watched. now for me i didnt wait for 2-1 year(s) like you guys did, i waited like 3 weeks because i watched it in february. but when i finished s1 i was LITERALLY HEARTBROKEN. i was thinking about sun oh so much and now with this season it just made it worse.

I’m truly so disappointed, it’s the directors completely ignored the fans wishes about these two ending up together. I always felt like they had a better connection. The entire second season was disconnected from the first one, everything changed in 360 degrees. It’s like everything that happened between Jojo and Sun ah in the first season was erased. I honestly felt no chemistry between hyeong and Jojo, it was like she forced herself to like him back out of pity, not only for her but for him as well. They made his character look so weak and pathetic chasing her around even though she treated him horribly. I mean, there were some good stuff in the season but they weren’t major and that also disappointed me. I kind of hoped they’d focus a little bit more about Ju ri, I felt like her character had potential, or on Sun ah’s girlfriend. Oh well.

i mean, if we go more into depth here, i’d say sun oh was a first love fueled with passion and interest. while hye yeong built a foundation on trust, patience, and maturity. i don’t think either one was forced- but i do believe one was better for jojo.
sun oh pursued her because he wasn’t getting the attention he usually got with hye yeong. he wanted to see what was so great about her that his friend had such an infatuation/crush with jojo.
and sun oh, knowing jojo didn’t ping his alarm, onto fueled his desire to get to know her because of the fact she wasn’t like every other girl showing interest. he usually got the attention; but with her, he didn’t. he pushed boundaries that someone shouldn’t have to cross. i.e- kissed her knowing she was in a relationship; trying to justify pursuing jojo by asking hye yeong countless times if he was interested, purposefully knowing the answer would be ‘no’. i think he knew what hye yeong would say because it would then mean he could still go after her. though, being a best friend, it wouldn’t take a second to realize that hye yeong was just saying such because jojo had a boyfriend. it was also alluded the probability (or at least hypothesized) that hye yeong knew his best friend usually got what he wanted otherwise, and in denying this, he wouldn’t pursue sun oh. albeit, he was wrong.
it pegs the question if sun oh genuinely loved jojo in the depth the show tries to portray. there may be a mentality underlying his character that, if in a relationship with jojo, hye yeong wouldn’t leave him. that he’d be the center of both their worlds. he may even have planned that, being with jojo, hye yeong would stop pursuing her. which, he did (to an extent). through this, he may have confused being possessive of her with being in love with her and that she was protecting him.
i think he loved her. but wasn’t in love with her. he wasn’t afraid to be selfish, and the dynamic with jojo and sun oh were complex in a beautiful way- but also in an ugly way as well. their influence with each other, i’d say, wouldn’t be the greatest. jojo continuously ran from problems instead of facing them, while sun oh continuously failed to realize the fault in their love and the wrong behind his first intentions.
hye yeong wanted jojo to be happy. he left her with her boyfriend. it wouldn’t be a lie to say he hoped for a break off because he most probably did. he wanted to wait until it was the right time to pursue her instead of rushing. this may also peg the question if he was cowardly; yes, he was cowardly compared to sun oh’s actions. but i also think it’s because of his virtuous thoughts and reasoning. he wanted to cause less of a risk with jojo feelings. he didn’t want to hinder her or pressure her; hence, he’d rather collectively confront her in small instances or patiently wait for her to approach him instead. he, instead of fighting, let jojo and sun oh be together without much interference or objection. because she was happy.
then, when he does begin to pursue her, sun oh does in fact begin to get hypocritical. he shuns his best friend to going after someone he grew affection of- but, at the same time, he did so too. sun oh is just more vocal than hye yeong.
even still, season two covered the difficult in getting over one’s first love. even love in general is hard to overcome when strong feelings are still there. yet, hye yeong still waited. this time, we see him grow a little more confident and sure of himself while sun oh is isolated and left in self reflection- and so is jojo. both are shown to be moving on while also reevaluating one’s self and each other. i think this caused a beautiful, bittersweet ending. because jojo found a relationship that let her be calm, not pressured, and with someone who takes into consideration her feelings over his own. hye yeong was able to grow stronger and courageous enough to take more risk than he did in season one.
and sun oh was my favorite. he said he’d be okay. he’ll figure it out. because he will. he’ll learn that he won’t be the center of their world as they can’t be his. they’re just people living in a universe full of other people. his character development was my favorite. i don’t think the directors made him pitiful. instead i think they made him more self aware and conscious. not fully, but a bit.
(i didn’t mention the stalking because both of them, in fact, stalked jojo)

The fact that he waited for her to love him again, and be with him again. He still choose to love her for 4 years so much even when yuk jo is there. He even payed her lunch to not let her starve... Kim jojo was more happier with sun oh in my opinion 😭💔

I don't know why some people says that sunoh was the first one who love jojo and sunoh waited jojo. Have you ever notice that hyeyeong was the one who loved jojo before sunoh came back from Korea. Hye-yeong also working to the restaurant were jojo working. Hye-yeong walk with jojo just to check that jojo is safe arriving in the bus stop. Hye-yeong is the first one who loved jojo. Sunoh was the first love but not the true love. Sunoh deserve it too but i don't see anything bad in yukjo as well jukjo was a genuine person and he love sunoh very much. Just accepted the fact that we are not jojo to decide who she really love

Honestly, It didn’t broke me when Jojo ended up with Hye yeong but Jojo having a closure with Sun Oh and Sun Oh finally accepting it is what tore me apart.
It’s nice to see him finally grow a bit at the end, although he still was so immature.
Many people wished that it was Sun oh Jojo had chosen. And it was understandable and I knew it would happen. But if she chose Sun oh, he wouldn't know what love really is. The love that Yuk Jo gave him.
The love alarm app was based on technology and science, but it is not enough to measure real love. That was the moral of the story. That's what it was supposed to teach people.
Sun Oh represents the kind of love that is possessive, controlling, and selfish. The only time he knew what love really is was when he waited for a month for Yuk Jo. And most of the time, people find this attractive, when people are possessive of you.
Hye young represents the kind of love that is unselfish, kind, and the love that never asks for anything in return. Once you realize that, you'll know it wasn't forced love. Because the one who uses force wasn't Hye Young, but Sun oh.

I waited for a year to heal my heart from season 1 and had a courage to watch s2 even tho i know who’s the end game but when i watch it, i literally broke down and still crying every night asking myself why am i so attached to this drama.
I rewatch s1 and continued to s2, my eyes become swollen like how they did go wrong when they started alright??? Like jojo wth. Sun-oh regret when he locked up on their house and said “ if i didn’t locked up that time may be we’re still together” that regret made me cry the most he still wants her, he still need her after 4 yrs.
It hurt me when jojo said “ sun-oh ya!!, i like you” and after that in school sun-oh was begging for jojo’s love in cafeteria then i cried.
At season 2 when sun-oh and jojo met to finally say goodbye to each other i broke down. Sun-oh reminiscing their moments, when they were so happy and they’re look so good together. Like lowkey saying goodbye to my first love ( jojo who’s wearing a uniform) i can’t believe that i waited for a year to break my heart again.
