thank you for the video. Taking polls off of pages is just another of many examples of facebook limiting the reach for business pages to upcharge you to reach even 1/3rd the people we reached in just 2019. Polls were a huge part of my business pages & drew a ton of activity.
Glad I planned to do a social campaign heavily relying on polls for a client and Facebook is now removing it almost everywhere 🙄…it’s like they’re trying to make our lives more difficult.

I need a poll to last more than a week, which is now FB default setting. It changed about 3-4 months ago. It might be old info, but when searching, says you can change that length of time that people in the group can vote, but I've not been able to locate a drop down menu as described. If that possibility still exists, it would be a great addition to your content. Thank you for the backstory here about Polls as well.

We used polls to sign up for group live crafting events. You would tap a time and that would become your spot. It made it really easy to see who was signed up for what time and create a graphic of the event. Now we have to read through so many comments to see who signed up for what time. We still can’t use the method in the above video because we have people that aren’t presenting live in the group as well. You know they won’t read if we say this poll is just for presenters. I’m trying to find an outside source now I guess to create sign up polls for free. They had to go and make it difficult to do these things.
Thank you. This confirms what I found as well. What I was looking for was a way to have a poll up for a longer period of time. The polls feature used to have a default run time of 1 week. Now it only runs for 2 days and the duration can no longer be set by the creator of the poll.

Google says that used to be a thing, lol, and I'd really like it to still be a thing because it's a bummer to have new people in the group not be able to vote on a poll after 7 days or whatever the default duration is.
No kidding, I run a group that depends on polls to help people decide on activities, now I'm seeing that they automatically expire after about a week-- whereas there used to be an option to choose "Never"-- and it's incredibly frustrating (not to mention yet another needless change on the site's part). Really wish he had addressed that here. It's at the point now where I feel like I'm just gonna have to post a link to an outside polling site IN Facebook. If it ain't broke F**kerberg, don't fix it!!
My polls expire! This morning's poll says "Timed Poll Ended" in the afternoon. I can't find an answer on Fb Help Center, nor can I find any place with a time limit drop down when I set my poll up. My set up screen looks exactly like yours. Please help! Thank you!

It's on groups, but on group events... no. That's really helpful now I need to ask a bunch of people when and where they want the event to take place. I can't tag them all, I can't message them as a group, so all I can do is DM them individually like a weirdo?! Facebook is so rubbish. If I didn't have to use it for work I wouldn't bother at all!
I have a question about something new in the group polls. Usually I used to see not just % of votes for an option but who of my friends voted for each of the options alltogether. Right now I can see only %-s and if I want to click to an option to see the persons who chose it - I can't see in the very same moment the persons who chose the other options. It's absolutely moronic limiting it this way. The poll option is extremely useful and stripping the funtion from most of the places where it's most needed is absolutely ridiculous

I've been doing polls for over 10 years. It is NOT an option in one of the many groups I admin. It is very much needed in that one! Reported to FB, and no response (as usual).

You can turn the poll option on and off in groups I was told but I’m not sure where in the setting for the page you can find that option! Good luck!

It seems Facebook removed the option for groups as well.
It's there, you just have to 'add' it as an option in posts now
