From what I can tell the banners stack days. By this I mean if you clear the map in ch 2 and 3 you will have the same amount of days before yellow and red as if you kept saving them until they turn yellow then attacking a fort or army. So pretend forts are worth one day. If I destroy 2 forts I have 2 days till it goes yellow. But if I destroy 1 it goes yellow then I destroy the other and it gives another day. Thus both are 2 day off green banners.
I think the game updated the AI. The generals always one-shot my archer stack in the first round. Hundreds of archers dead and I'm over the infirmary limit on the first turn. They are prioritizing archers now over clerics. Don't know what to do with this Succubi general.
I watched this video because all my banners turned red maybe halfway to Drezdan (?) and it became impossible for me to recruit new troops, thus impossible to fight demon armies and forts. You pretty much confirmed what I suspected: game over.
What did you do? Could you go back to an earlier save? I'm here because I never finished the game and the Crusade part was a pain. I may just put Crusade on either Auto or Easy.
@@bocconom Didn't have an earlier save to go back to without losing basically everything up to the start of the crusade. Ended up starting over from scratch, which was just as well, since Dhampir characters are hurt by conventional healing methods. Not sure if on the second time round I lowered the difficulty, but I did take a more active role in directly controlling the crusade; made a point to win more battles as quickly as possible, while taking care to build up for the big ones.
@@terrorcop101 I, too, have restarted the game last night. I loath having to repeat some of the game but I plan on trying to be smarter this time around. We'll see... 😁
That happened to me during my first playthrough and didn't know how important the crusade is. It's a poorly implemented system. Start to struggle and it you can't recruit and keep missing turns, thus making you struggle more.
from my experience, general - magic is the best, for units - offensive units are the best because your enemy will almost always focus the unit with the highest damage output anyways and ignore tanks, and yeah for buildings stack hospitals because some enemy armies will just take out a stack in the first round and getting those units back is pretty useful
I hope pathfinder can improve this mode on their next updates. Actually , it can be much better especially when the units have more variation early. And how about adding resource management like real heroes game
Helpful guide and still useful! Thank you for the insights.
Wow thank you so much! Glad it helps!
Thanks dude, and thanks other youtuber comments on this page , helped me figure out everything I needed to know. :)

How can I find the general of 5/5 army size as like that?
Still now I am available only 3/3 size.

this is helpful, thanks
Thank you for supporting !
I have been playing with crusade mode on auto but your video made me want to try it out, thank you!
Awesome! Hope you will enjoy it!

Just get a stack of 400 to 500 marksmen . All other units pretty much don’t matter
I just want them to buff other general abilities and it's going to be a lot more fun!
My bolt of justice for generals is bugged, can't use it :(
I spent way to much time in Ch 3 building my armies. I'm now in Ch 5 and I have to start over again it seems.
Only your armies so it shouldn't be too bad!
I started out poorly with my choosing of armies, and units and commanders.

There is so much potential in the mode - I personally like it but it requires lots of work!
I still don’t get it why did they make it so complicated they should just have clear instructions
Experience is shared equaly?
As in 1 general winning a battle will split 50/50 with another general? Or they all gain the full amount?
No no - sorry I thought that will be confusing - I meant that you will be able to kill similar amount of demons with all generals to level up equally!
@@HDHaZmY So then what is your advice on when to hire new generals? I just cleared Drezen and haven't invested in a second general yet.
I used to clear the entire map of enemy forts and armies immediatlely and the banners never turned yellow or red. That a bug or Lich specific?
It could be a bug that happens randomly but I got it in all my 3 playthroughs so far - so better be careful!
This is useful but what I actually needed was a basic tutorial. The damn game doesn't give you any basic instructions!
Hellknights carryed me the all the way. Archers too e.e
The crusade mode just looks like a really shallow Tactics game. The world map and base building seems cool tho.
If you played HOMM you will get it.
bruh the fight at 6:44 never feels worth lmao
wanna know how to make crusade more fun? yes turn auto crusade on lol just not for me
This system is unbelievably shitty, I can't believe they released this.
