I’m a fairly small guy at 5’10” 170lbs. I have this piece and it’s a show stopper. It supposed to be large, it’s always been large, but no...this doesn’t come off as over sized or a “fashion” piece.
stop worrying about the size of ur body and height in relation to a watch. if u like the watch, then buy it and wear it. the only thing that matters if u like it. who cares about anything else and anyone with aproblem with that u can tell them to kiss ur ass
The flagship & iconic timepieces of IWC, but at 42.3mm, not everybody will be able to wear it well. If IWC start doing 40mm version, it will be a hottie! Love the clean clear dial, easy to read.
I've wanted this piece since 2016 but my 16.1 cm wrist just couldn't carry it. I understand that the Portuguese line has always been big so I've come to accept that I'll never own one. I'll appreciate it from afar then. Cheers!
Tim's wrist size recommendations always reek of disingenuous salesmanship and are the only disappointing parts of otherwise outstanding videos. No one with a wrist of 13.5cm should come close to this watch, which looks oversized even for Tim. I understand that since he's advertising the watch, he doesn't want to dissuade potential buyers with really small wrists, but he also doesn't need to make outlandish recommendations either. Just tell the audience your wrist size for scale.
It is a gorgeous watch. I have a 20cm arm and still this watch looks bulky. So I have decided to use it at the office only for the days of not corporate dressing or during the week end days. On Tim's arm this watch fits like a horse saddle on the back of cocker spaniel. Hopefully they will come up soon with the same watch on a carcass of 40mm or under.
Congratulations! I am thinking to buy it, but used though since its little bit cheaper.. so how is the watch after a month of buying it? is it worth it?

It depends on the size of your wrist, not the size of your frame.

@@dereksbooks completely wrong. Arnold has a tiny wrist. Google it. Would you say big watches are unsuitable for his frame?
I agree, it's a large watch but wears well.
I agree. I have very small wrists for a guy, and it wears quite well. I was personally surprised
Great coverage of the watch, also commenting for the algorithm.

That’s good to know. I am also around that wrist size so guess I won’t be buying this one😢
@@pfunk2637, try the Portugieser Automatic 40. Might fit you well. Cheers!
I own the new 40mm version and it fits perfect on my 15cm wrist
'Hi, this is Tim' rather than 'Hi, I'm Tim'? That's big! Bigger than the change from steel to ceramic in Rolex.
The most beautiful casebacks in the game

Tim, can you do a vs between this and Lange 1815 up/down?
Are you in a hurry?
Breathe. :)
madmaniaq brilliant
Stunning watch...
I just bought it today! 😀

What material is the hairspring and escape wheel?
What is the point in pointing out a watch can fit under a dress cuff if you claim it to be true of every watch, even >14mm thick?
Great i like it
How price?
Way too big.... When will IWC come out with a manageable watch size like 39mm with a power reserve dial?
It looks big but it doesn’t wear like it. I have small wrists and it looks ok.
Beautiful watch. Too big.

if youre 5'7' guy wearing this piece? you are gonna look like flavor flav.
Wrist size doesn't always correlate with height. Plenty of really tall men have very thin wrists and vice versa.
Depends on your girth lol
🆒🆒🆒🆒
