I've always been a fan who just watched the game and never really paid attention to tactics but Ten Hag has made me actively research tactics so I can understand wtf he's doing. Understanding his tactics are so confusing
Brilliant breakdown guys - big up!

good analisys man utd are basically a cup team we can win one off games but cant have any consitance in a 38 game season and casimero is not the issue the team has holes everywhere keeper dodgy defence and midfield dodgy and a non existant forward line if he does indeed get fired what are we missing

An underrated football channel… brilliant display and explanation of tactics. Also, great that Structure has guests to present and explain too 🔥🔥

    Interesting points and observations fellas.
With all the resources of staff expertise, data and professional eyes on the game, one would exoect some rigour to evolve their processes... Even to demonstrate progress.
One wonders how robust the discussions are within the coaching staff regarding method, tactics and solutions to games?
I like the new screen analysis and chats getting more to the point.
    Excellent stuff fellas 😊👍

Ineos strategic review failed to figure out that regardeless of ETH tactics, man utd needed two strong and fast midfielders when the season starts. Its criminal that ugarthe is missing the first month of the season.

Rather than giving ETH two managers who have not managed in this league as assistants, they should have given him proper experienced coaches and tacticians to assist him.

    Great footballing debate.
Maybe im old fashioned, but this is how I see it
One of Ten Hag's major issues is his rigid control over his systems and tactics.
His principles often restrict the players' natural instincts in many situations.
For Ten Hag to succeed, he needs to simplify his approach and allow players more freedom to express themselves.
While responsibility remains important, players should be given the liberty to pass and move within the spaces where they feel most comfortable. Given the numerous situational variables in a game, players must have the flexibility to solve problems and find solutions on their own.

@ShaquilleOatmeal730 I see what you did there... 🙃😉
I’m not saying we should bring Ole back, but I do think Ten Hag needs to ease up a bit.
It’s one thing to have strong convictions, but managing a unified Ajax team is very different from handling Man Utd, where the dynamics are more complex and the egos are bigger.
Sometimes, he needs to throw the players a bone, or morale could really suffer.

    Same shit different day
-Mainoo is not a defensive midfield
He is an attacking player, if you don't play him as that don't play him
    - we don't keep the ball in attacking position so end up in a basketball game which you can't do with a slow midfield.
There are so many other problems that would take too long to write down
    Basically ten is clueless

Bro when I tell people this, he’s 100% an advanced 8 minimum I get pelters. There’s enough evidence to see he’s not a 6

    • @Bole77
      @Bole77 12 дней назад

Ten Hag wanted us to keep Amrabat.
So I'm fairly sure he knows that Mainoo isn't a 6.
Besides Casemiro, the alternatives are to play Collyer or Eriksen.. 😮

Erik ten Hag's Manchester United does not have an identity is a misnomer. The Dutchman has been constantly playing with the same abomination of football for three years.
He's brought in four goalkeepers, seven defenders, six midfielders and four forwards in total of twenty one players for three quarter of billion in three years. He has already shown the players door without compunction, and extended players contract willingly.
It's obvious to understand the fans frustration with players featuring regularly in the starting eleven, irrespective of the match day performance and lack of substitution. The reason why it's happening and will continue to happen because of the players are doing exactly what they have been told.
Manchester United is the only team in top flight football do not have integral structure in defence and attack, and the only team to concede goals from similar positions and areas of the pitch under ten Hag.
In three years, United's players made more errors on conceding the goals from individual mistakes, and it's very easy on the eyes of commoners to incriminate players deficiencies for their disastrous display, but the manager is setting up the players to make errors, and each and every one of opposition managers capitalise on it.
Tactically and technically, Erik ten Hag is not even a League One mid table side level and he's managing Manchester United.

Its interesting to watch the tactical analysis very good insight from all parties . But Jarvis where I disagree with you is when you said we cannot say that Ten Hag tactics were wrong . Any tactics that plays into the oppenents strenght instead of zxploiting their weaknesses is wrong.Rashford and Ganacho hugging the touchlines are dog foods for Konate who had pace and the liverpool manager reconized the threat of Ganacho thats why he instructed Robertson to stay back while van Djik is manhandling Zirkzee. LIVERPOOL will take those matchup all day long. Not correct to blame one player. Any Striker will drop deep if their midfield cannot supply them . It's not only their their natural instincts but also the only way to drag Van Djik out of position to create space for Rashford and Ganacho to ran into . Unfortunately Van Djik is too experience to take that bait and always manage to pass him to Mc Allister. Where Ten Hag fucked up is inverting Dalot and Mazaraoui who both turn out to be non factors in our build up because we coudnt pass through the middle. If Eric Ten Hag had instructed Rashford and Ganacho to invert, that would have released the flanks for Dalot and Mazaraoui to overlap. That overload would either force Trent and Diaz to Defend or Mc Alister and Gravenberg to slide over the flanks to help defend therefore opening the gap in the midfield for Casemiro Bruno or Kobe to make deep runs. Ten Hagg tactics played into liverpool strenghts . Thats a no no as a manager

Play Zirkzee/ Mainoo in the 10. Put Bruno in the 8 and Ugarte/ Cas as the other 8. DONE! Rashford can be as the striker where he cannot damage anything

The person with the biggest engine, which is bruno, should always be an 8. He has it tattooed on his arm lol. He is good defensively so yeah put him behind mainoo
