We threw our ABA therapist to the wolves on just day 2!

Today was Julia’s second day of ABA & we threw her therapist to the wolves! Julia has sensory processing disorder in addition to nonverbal moderate autism. Her hair has always been a trigger - even just running your hands through it. It HAD to be cut! And we knew it would be a fight that would result in a meltdown! So we had her big sister take her with therapist. Here’s a little preview of how it went, along with the end of her day. Her therapist said she actually did really well & you can see her trying to calm herself down - which is something she’s never done! Afterwards they went to lunch & Julia has been great all evening! It’s like the haircut boosted her mood! You can tell she feels better without all that hair.
