what can you possible do with a 100' yacht that you cant do on a 50'-60' yacht? i mean if money is not the issue i can see that but even though seems like having a crew and cost of maintenance, repairs can add up and be little high. I will like to have a 50' liveaboard trawler or motoryacht to spend time along with a tender. Living in Florida makes it easier except for hurricane season. I appreciate your time and effort showing us your experience having a yacht this big, looking forward on your new adventures with your wife and the little furr member. peace out!!
Thanks so much for the comments. If you have not watched episode 1, I would recommend it, it kinda goes through why we purchased Bravo (ruclips.net/video/dghIXikxkRo/видео.html). The short answer is range, we were planning on running the Pacific. 50-60 foot vessel is about a perfect size of a boat for a live aboard boat! Thanks so much for watching the channel, we truly appreciate the support!
hello, yes i saw that episode and was very sorry all repairs had to be done caused by that boulder, i have seen a handful of yachts in that 60' range crossing the atlantic. Cant wait to see the new episodes with your new Regal 39' or knot.... LOL@@From100to26
Nothing up in that area could handle our weight... we ended up doing all the repairs in the water... the last time we hauled her out was for paint and that was Owl Creek down in Cape Coral. Thanks for watching and supporting the channel!
Ugh…been there…done that. Well, my ex did it 🤦♂️😂😭. I’ll never forget that sound. The BANG and the jarring, grinding, immediate slowdown followed by juddering limp to the nearest dock and the sheer misery of knowing your bank account is going to suffer some painful blows. Ouch.
You are totally right, no matter how prepared you are, at some point you are going to hit something! Thanks again for watching, we truly appreciate the support!
Hey Greg! Hope you are having a great holiday! Good question about the repairs. The props were about 10k and the stabilizer… well it was 11k for the replacement stabilizer and 10k to install it. Total repair cost was around 31k… those damn rocks will get you every time 😂. Thanks so much for the support and watching the channel!!!

All those years of knowing how to drive a yacht, but for some strange reason, someone decided to go that close to shore close enough to hit a rock makes no sense to me at all. 30 years I’ve had my 59 foot SeaRay Sundancer, and still never hit anything other than a black garbage bag floating partially under water 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Actually we were in a channel as noted in the video. The night before another vessel had run out of the channel and run aground and pushed rocks into the channel. Unlike your Sea Ray (owned one before.. great boat)..we draft 7.5 feet. When we ran the channel the next morning our starboard side stabilizer hit the moved bolder which then hit our starboard prop. Running large vessels is slightly harder than the boats you are talking about, it is why they require years of experience before any insurance carrier will even think of insuring you or consider you qualified. Thanks for the support of the channel.

That's a good ride for a lift. Do you frequent the Pinelleas Counrty waters?

Oh and the bills are so much larger on a larger vessel!!
OMGOSH! That’s terrible, been there but on a much smaller boat. Stuff is bound to happen

How unfortunate! Can you tell us how much that mishap cost you?
