I watched this dozens of times. There's the brilliant lyrics, the stunning vocals, and the hilarious content. I also carefully listened to the background vocals. If you listen carefully, when Randy sings "Then suddenly the Conman was a hero...", in the background he says, "Didn't see that coming". What an astute observation to put in to actual lyrics! Absolutely brilliant.
The repeated “I don’t wanna see” refrain is so good too. It matches the zeitgeist perfectly. Every morning I’m scared to wake my phone and find out what the heck has happened now (being 9 hours after west coast US time doesn’t help!)

I always love Oklahoma. (another Brit here) and that song was one of my favourites from the show. Randy is such a genius and never puts a foot wrong in his songs, every word is totally right. When I get a notification of a new song it makes the day. We could do with a British version sometimes.
