And Milla Jovovich actually ran away and got married to her costar in Dazed & Confused, Shawn Andrews, in 1992. But bc Milla was 16 at the time, (Shawn Andrews was 21), her mother annulled the marriage just 2 months after their Las Vegas runaway elopement during filming.
@JRMAV1 the show isn't about the rest of the world. It's about protecting and working a ranch. Duh. It's called a setting. Every show has a setting: time, place, and, how that effects the lives of the characters written into the story.
@DiddynoDiddle He's just some rich asshole that got lucky. They ise real cowboys for consulting on this show. Just because I do know how to ride a horse doesn't make me a cowboy, anymore than Sheridan owning the 4 6s makes him a rancher.

He still can. There's more to being a good dad than what blood runs through their veins - I've seen some pretty rotten kids that had a magnificent dad, mama & homelife & put them all through hell. 😔
Adopted children are still your children. Don't necessarily have to be blood. But, I do understand what you mean. There's a feeling that cannot be put into words. It's primal and deep. That when you give your husband his child. One half of each of you. The best parts of both of you. It can't be described.

This is beautiful, love Rip, always have, I can identify with the man, I know he is the only man outside of her father that can keep Beth in line simply out of respect , GOOD MAN ❤💪
This scene reminded so much of the days when my dad was teaching me something. Pretty much everything I know about working on vehicles, horses, cattle, camping, fishing, survival I learned from my dad. Even now, whenever I run into a problem. I ask myself, what would my dad do. The answer usually goes back to all those things he taught. Dads are important, just as important as moms. I honestly feel bad for kids who who only have one parent.
Is this the Foreman mentoring a new employee, or dad teaching his son? I don't think the Foreman instructs a new employee in the comfort of his living room. And chances are Foreman would have one of the hands teach the new kid instead of doing it himself. But the fact that Rip wants this done right means it's important and if it's important he's taking it personally and if it's personal, Carter's not just a hand, he's taking that boy under his wing. And that is something! Beth gave Rip a son!

Funny note on the why women see the bear is safer than stranger men. Another example could be this (not only is the bear the only logical answer since humans are more dangerous than any animal on this earth) but look how many men have come at this woman and attacked her. Like she said the bear knows better than to fk with her. Shes lived there her whole life and never had a bear issue. Shes been nearly killed by men though. One her own brother okayed her getting sterilized and that was one she knew and trusted. This show shows the duality of humans in general but how bad even these good men can get. The good men use their masculinity for protection though rather than just to hurt people to hurt people. Beth is a good example herself why humans in general are more of a danger. Even she does some incredibly fked up things. Which goes to show a human wanting to harm is only limited by their imagination. Where as the bear is pretty predictable. Worst it will do is kill.

Because it comes from a place of love and concern rather than *_just do as I say._*

The consultants for the horses and rancher aspects on this show are skilled and know what they are doing.
