I personally love him the most. Not saying the others on her show are boring, some are much better than this guy but he just has so much fun with this whole thing.
It's honestly pure slight of hand and always being ahead of the spectator, although i could tell every sleight he was doing, to laymen (fancy word for non-magicians) it borderlines pure astonishment.
All tricks are fairly simple and if u go thru this video couple of times like i did you can figure out what he does quite easily. Its all about perfecting your hand skills to make this look smooth like he does it. He must of shuffled tons of decks to get so good. Nice skills. Well done.
1:54 you see him watching the cards discreetly. (and 1:46 to 1:52 he's doing that on purpose maybe coz he failed the 1st time so he does again.) That's all I could see, impressive stuff!
It's amazing how Ellen didn't pick the joker and he went like "but don't let me see what it is, okay?" and just tried to give her the card again. He's a great magician, thumbs up to Australia :)
his performance is really smooth. Of course being able to watch the video multiple times really helps in finding out the way he does everything. however, if I was in ellen's place, there is no way I will no.
At first I was pretty depressed that he gave up how he did the trick. Because even though I DIE to figure out how they do it, it just ruins the whole illusion if he simply tells them afterwards. But actually, it was a badass move to "show them" how it was done, only to awe them again with another trick leaving us going "wtf..." That was an amazing trick lol.
Yes he did. He put the card back in his pocket when he showed he what palming is. He actually had two cards when he showed her about palming, he showed her putting the card in his pocket and taking it out, but he left her card in his pocket. Notice how he din't show the card in his hand after he pulled it back out of his pocket. He made it disappear and put it back on the top of the deck. That way when he flipped it over it wasn't his card. If you watch closely when he makes the card "disappear," and then brings it back to the deck you can see the card in his hand is the 8 of diamonds. The rest of the trick is simply forcing that card on her, which is really simple. This guy is really good at slight of hand though.
If people are wondering how it's done, Ellen didn't sign 2 copies, she signed one. The blue card is a joker, but he showed him the blue card as the signed card, he was holding the 2 cards together. That's why he puts it back on the deck before putting it on the table. The way he gets Ellen to pick up the other joker is a bit hard to explain, but there are 2 jokers in the deck. The way he gets the signed card in the pocket is explained. cheers.
the second trick is simple look at his hand holding the deck of cards at 2:36, there is a little gap from where his pinky is holding two cards up ( the card under neath is turned over) he picks them up and when he rubs them against his forearm. he just turns them over and then quickly puts the card on top of the deck before anyone notices.
@Omega1653 did he use psychological methods to get Ellen to pick up the other joker? I noticed that he stopped spreading the cards or whatever suddenly and went back to another point and started spreading again. Did he like pause on the joker to make Ellen pick it?
i'm sure there are lots of people here who know what he's doing, but the point it is that he's doing it so smoothly that sitting across from him, Ellen couldn't spot a thing. That's what impressive, not the physical part of the trick.
The way he gets her to choose the joker is by "forcing" it through the way he presents the cards. I actually think he messes up at 1:48, he pulls back when she goes to pick a card for no reason at all so he can try forcing it on her again
he held 2 cards when he was revealing the palming trick to her, one 8 with the signature and one without, and placed the 8with the signature in the pocket and took out the one without the signature. the one that he was showing when he flipped it behind is hand was already the 8 of diamonds =)
It's easy to tell what he does if you pay close attention, but I still have no idea how he made the card invisible for a split second. Anyone care to explain?
Hes full of energy for one thing. Sleight of hand, the speed hes doing these tricks at will do just enough to distract and make them follow along. Also, he used the double lift insanely alot
The first trick is simple he already has a blue card with the X and when she marks her card he holds the deck and gets a break so he can cut it directly to the blue card and then she puts her card on the deck and the blue one is on top of it and then he finds the blue card and double lifts with her card so it seems like they are one card.
Makes a trick more believeable when the spectator gets to sign a card, that means the magician can't replace it or anything. It's the only card in the deck like it.
If you guys want to know how he did the last trick he double lifted the card before putting it in in pocket grabbed the other wrong card from his pocket thats why he doesnt show the face of it when he palms it he lets it fall on the deck
i love how he's still excited about every trick!
he's so full of energy
Jessica Ventimiglia couple lines of coke does that to you

I personally love him the most. Not saying the others on her show are boring, some are much better than this guy but he just has so much fun with this whole thing.
my mouth dropped at the sight of this.. it was pretty cool:D
It's honestly pure slight of hand and always being ahead of the spectator, although i could tell every sleight he was doing, to laymen (fancy word for non-magicians) it borderlines pure astonishment.

I love the way he talks and how he's excited about his tricks
that's cute
i love how he gives away the old trick and then makes it better with his new trick :P
1:54 you see him watching the cards discreetly. (and 1:46 to 1:52 he's doing that on purpose maybe coz he failed the 1st time so he does again.) That's all I could see, impressive stuff!

OMG ANYTIME A MAGICIAN COMES ON HER SHOW SHE ALWAYS SIGNS THE CARD!!
It's amazing how Ellen didn't pick the joker and he went like "but don't let me see what it is, okay?" and just tried to give her the card again. He's a great magician, thumbs up to Australia :)
i never knew james galea was so good!
his performance is really smooth. Of course being able to watch the video multiple times really helps in finding out the way he does everything. however, if I was in ellen's place, there is no way I will no.
Amazing!
His laugh is so adorable and made me laugh along :).
Lol he's so adorable! He's so happy XD
At first I was pretty depressed that he gave up how he did the trick. Because even though I DIE to figure out how they do it, it just ruins the whole illusion if he simply tells them afterwards.

That was an amazing trick lol.
I like the way he gets the card in his pocket the last time, no palming. Sooo sneeaaky!
oh come on. you can't be serious that he fooled you like that.
It was pretty obvious how the card got in the pocket.
Yes he did. He put the card back in his pocket when he showed he what palming is. He actually had two cards when he showed her about palming, he showed her putting the card in his pocket and taking it out, but he left her card in his pocket. Around the 1:53-1:57 mark you can see him look at the bottom card of the deck.
Awesome routine but i got the most of it i need to admit that is one of the best tricks i can perform thanks to james keep it up bro
I love the impromptu style of Ellen's magicians .
I would definitely take that card out of his pocket any day....😍
.....Oh.

Wow, a magician wearing short sleeves, I'm impressed!
simple yet beautiful
I love ellen. always make me smile.

I think Ellen's happiest when kids are happy.
I love this man!!
Damn, he is so fun! :)
nice way to clean the force it will help me too..
His tricks are simple but difficult part is pull it of smoothly in front of a large audience
OMG! I need to get to my homework! Just after this one video...
Its funny how i always end up on the Ellen Show and stay on it forever!!
Very well performed double lift and palm.
cant stop watching magicians on Ellen
the last trick, he has 2 cards in his pocket. and left ellens card in his pocket. easy peasy. nice trick, and he sure has got some fast fingers
That was so cool !!!!!!
card tricks are awesome
@Omega1653 did he use psychological methods to get Ellen to pick up the other joker? I noticed that he stopped spreading the cards or whatever suddenly and went back to another point and started spreading again. Did he like pause on the joker to make Ellen pick it?
and the weather is hot all the time cause of you guys
I love magic!
I WANT TO KNOW HOW IT'S DONE!!! I've seen it for like millions of times and still can't figure out how the heck is he doing that! :P x
whats the trick called where he changes it to the ace of spades?
this is crazy good! Thank God i actually know what he does otherwise I'd quit life haha
ELLEN YOU ARE THE REASON FOR ME SLEEPING DURING CLASS
im proud of my self i know how he did everything without looking on comments or rewinding...yeeeaah.
its cool to watch these tricks... and know them :P he did a amazing job though :P
i'm sure there are lots of people here who know what he's doing, but the point it is that he's doing it so smoothly that sitting across from him, Ellen couldn't spot a thing. That's what impressive, not the physical part of the trick.
Crazy good!
How does he make the card invisible?
i like how he snaps his fingers like that :D
The way he gets her to choose the joker is by "forcing" it through the way he presents the cards. I actually think he messes up at 1:48, he pulls back when she goes to pick a card for no reason at all so he can try forcing it on her again
I love how the force card is always the 8 or hearts or diamonds
you sir deserve a cookie
Omg ive always wondered how these worked lol
he held 2 cards when he was revealing the palming trick to her, one 8 with the signature and one without, and placed the 8with the signature in the pocket and took out the one without the signature.
the one that he was showing when he flipped it behind is hand was already the 8 of diamonds =)

He's Maltese ! Like me, on American tv! Proud
all of them are double lift, and of course great performance
omg, I love his laugh =))
his laugh is super contagious
2:40-2:43 how did he do that? and what's the name of this trick?
+ajay101ification
It's just a double lift back to back..
love this trick, i do the same one, just a little bit differently
The first trick is simple he already has a blue card with the X and when she marks her card he holds the deck and gets a break so he can cut it directly to the blue card and then she puts her card on the deck and the blue one is on top of it and then he finds the blue card and double lifts with her card so it seems like they are one card.
OMG whaaattt?!!!!! This is amazing!!!! :D
What happened to the black one????? And how did it get ellens signature 2????
Makes a trick more believeable when the spectator gets to sign a card, that means the magician can't replace it or anything. It's the only card in the deck like it.
I love the way Ellen is looking at him @ 2:50 lol
He's cute and full of life
"Yeah, you wanna take it?"
Yes Mr. James Galea..... yes I do. ;)
The grass is always green on the other side I guess. Well, kinda yellow in Australia :D
3:49 He placed Ellen's card in his pocket when he was showing an example and he switched her card with another card which he pulled out.
I love the ellen show :D !
The way he laughs 😂😂😂😂💔
i love how ellen stare at the magician try to figure out what he did
Anybody know how he did the one where he took the car and it went across his arm and changed
Love his new show; "Breaking Magic" on The Discovery Channel :D
If you guys want to know how he did the last trick he double lifted the card before putting it in in pocket grabbed the other wrong card from his pocket thats why he doesnt show the face of it when he palms it he lets it fall on the deck
he is just too good-3
When you try to guess how he does the trick, it takes all the fun out of magic.
When James pulled Ellen's card out of his pocket, her signature was not signed in the same place that she signed hers on the original card. ^_^
That's why I don't ever scroll down on these videos.
If people want to solve tricks, keep it to yourself.
OMG his laugh!
It's pretty good! :D
at the invisible card right?
Anyone want to know how to do all of these tricks?
