  • We had the chance to run this prototype and it behaved perfect I must say. It ran for more than 40 minutes and only water had to be added. I was impressed with the sound once she had to work hard in one corner of the track. The coaches are made by David Leech.

      Echte wel een mooie setting, een van de betere tracks en erg veel space er omheen.

      Next video of this engine I hope to have a nice rake of Teaks behind her, maybe end of the summer.

      Looking forward to that, especially in natural light.

      If you are going back a year in my video`s you will find the teak set that I`m talking about, behind a Britannia and behind the flying Scotsman. All these coaches are built by Peter Rogers, the master coach builder.

      Once on the market this will be a superb model, to be expected in the first half of this year.

    That's a superb locomotive you have there Bram. I especially love the chuffs at the lower speeds. You've captured it very well on the vid. Nice work. Have you a camera you can mount directly behind the tender? It would be interesting to hear some "on-board" sounds!
    All the best, Ken

      Hello Ken, You will like it as much as I do I think. The onboard shots will be made once the production samples are with us, so you have to wait another couple of month, but I thought it was great to film what is coming this Summer. Kind Regards,
      Bram

    like the cut away vallances so you can see the running gear. just needs the world record plaque adding to remind everyone it broke the speed record.

    • @MrBramMoos
      @MrBramMoos  8 лет назад

      You are right Andy, I should take care that we make a small etching of this plate to add it to the model if people want it. I will work on it. The cut away valances are also my favorit, but mine will end up with an ultra marine blue finish and the name Kingfisher, my favorit bird.

      I`m so sorry Tac, but you missed an important part of my message, in BR time they did a test with four x A4 in Ultra marine blue and one of those was the Kingfisher, my favorite bird so my version will be a special, painted and finished by Peter Rogers in Ultra marine blue with the name Kingfisher.

      Yes for me it was the first run with this model for sure.

    Bram, The streamlined casing or superstructure on this A4 appears to be quite accurate, far better than what is found with the other recent 3 cylinder A4.
    When this one is placed adjacent to a 35 year old Aster A4 (I own a "Silver Link" version), how closely do the contours of this one follow those of the Tenshodo generated Aster A4's superstructure? How close are the overall dimensions are the two?
    Also the Aster A4 superstructrure was made from two pieces of investment-cast aluminium alloy joined at the center with rivets and a high temperature adhesive. In what manner is this one's superstructure constructed and of what materials please? Thank you very much.

    • @MrBramMoos
      @MrBramMoos  6 лет назад +1

      Dear Paul, this model is only a prototype so have to wait until the production models are with us, the superstructure is made from etched brass and lost wax castings in brass. I hope that we will see soon the first batch of this model and than I can measure it up against and Aster ( I have a Sir Nigel Gresley brand new). Kind regards Bram

      Thank you Bram, you are very helpful as usual! My timing appears to be rather "off". I completely missed out on the TME King Arthurs (DRAT!!) I did see the undetailed prototype on page 48 of the Autumn 2014 issue (#243) of the G1MRA Journal, but it didn't especially catch my eye as with a cursory glance and absolutely no detail on the loco itself, it appeared to me as just another "work in progress" from I presumed from a T. Barret or K. Cousin's kit.
      Looking further back, I saw an advert for this A4 model (prior to Accucraft's taking the project on) on the inside cover of the Autumn 2012 issue (#235). There the superstructure clearly is a 3D printed F.D.M. or "Filament Deposition Manufactured" plastic copy of the Aster superstructure as determined by the visible layering.
      I intend building a TME quality LNER A4 in 1:32 scale.
      Already in hand from the very helpful Andrew Pullen are: an Aster left hand drive A3 chassis, cylinders, boiler and corridor tender, along with Mark Wood wheels for the same locomotive in 1:32 scale. I either must construct the streamlined casing from scratch OR is there a possibility of obtaining one of these as they are only now entering production? Thank you.

    it looks a lovely model, but its a shame the trailing frames haven't been done correctly.

    • @MrBramMoos
      @MrBramMoos  7 лет назад

      They will arrive this winter and if in England you should look for an Accucraft dealer and when in Europe you can contact www.exclusivemodels.nl

      Thanks. I actualy contacted Bram Hengeveld last year about the models, but they were not ready at the time.
      But the drop in value of the pound in the UK makes it quite attractive to order from the UK at the moment :-)

      I am Bram Hengeveld and there won`t be a difference between Euroep and England in price we keep the same price level.

    What's the spinning thing going through the chimney?

    • @MrBramMoos
      @MrBramMoos  6 лет назад +1

      The spining thing is a suction fan which take care of pulling the hot air thru the boiler, once the model is under steam it can do with the internal blower with the same function.
