Paul, Apostle of Christ is the story of two men. Luke, as a friend and physician, risks his life every time he ventures into the city of Rome to visit Paul, who is held captive in Nero’s darkest, bleakest prison cell. Before Paul’s death sentence can be enacted, Luke resolves to write another book, one that details the beginnings of “The Way” and the birth of what will come to be known as the church. But Nero is determined to rid Rome of Christians, and does not flinch from executing them in the grisliest ways possible.
Bound in chains, Paul’s struggle is internal. He has survived so much-floggings, shipwreck, starvation, stoning, hunger and thirst, cold and exposure-yet as he waits for his appointment with death, he is haunted by the shadows of his past misdeeds. Alone in the dark, he wonders if he has been forgotten . . . and if he has the strength to finish well.
Two men struggle against a determined emperor and the frailties of the human spirit in order to bequeath the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the world.

There is now an actor, Jonathan Roumie, whom portrays Christ in the tv series, The Chosen. Crowdfunded, the director avoids Hollywood to allow the true spirit of Christ in this show of the people who's lives He touched while here. Its beautifully portrayed and I love both Jim' and Jonathan' portrayals, as they are Christians whom strive to allow the Holy Spirit to move within them.. they're the vessel, but its the spirit of our Lord whom seems to shine through.

I LOVED, LOVED, LOVED THIS MOVIE! cried like a baby because I realized just how much suffering people did so I could know Jesus, live for Jesus, the way Jesus wants me to do. I am very grateful to Paul and to all people who have stood steady against the oppressors of the Christain faith. Thanks be to Jesus who put Paul's path into action!

Just saw the movie in Egypt. It is an inspiring movie as it showed me a glimpse of what my ancestors had to go through for their faith. As I live in a country where 2 churches have been bombed last year during palm Sunday and lots of other attacks targeting Christians have occurred , I sometimes find fear crippling into my heart and think of leaving my country, but this movie has reminded me of my true purpose as a light in this darkness.

Historians have written about the crucifixtion of christ. 500 people have witnessed the resurrection of christ (they saw him in real flesh after his death on the cross) but I should believe the story written by someone 600 years later in a completely different country.

Not much has changed, Christianity is still feared, persecuted, and mocked ...even as we live. Nothing is more free than a believer in Christ.
For all those believers in Christ, this was a tear jerkier for me. Even though the movie was rated as good, the part of Paul touched my soul. It is amazing how knowing the Word and the presence of the Spirit can touch our being by just imagining the suffering that Paul bared in the name of Christ. Last part of the movie did it... I could not hold my tears as I watched a man that I believe truly loved the LORD.

Saw this last night with my wife and all I can say is, Wow!!! This was hands down the best Biblical movie I've ever seen. Can't be beat in terms of showing how life was in the first century in Rome. So refreshing to see a movie made to show how it really was and what it means to be a believer in persecution and putting faith in He who really matters, not being afraid of temporary suffering.
You should also watch "Passion" by Mel Gibson. I always watch it before Easter to remind myself how Jesus suffered to save our souls from the hell. This film is also powerful and worthy to watch.

Movies show you God's love? Do you apply the same logic to oter movies? Does Hellraiser show his love for you through movies? Does Mickey Mouse? No? Then why does this logic apply to this particular movie? Isn't it just a group of actors and film personell making a living by catering to a particular audience suspectible to their story like any movie does? Where does God come into the picture? Why does he get credit?

I have read through the book of acts over and over again, but watching this film made me see scriptures in pictures and realities, even though every part of the book of acts were not covered, it gave a me a full idea of the life of Paul and what he went through to get us the message of Jesus Christ, my heart broke when i saw luke duplicating all the letters he had written from Paul it reminded me of how the new testaments were put together., great Job the Affirm Film for this movie.

The story of Paul is indeed miraculous, he went from a persecutor of Christians a murderer, to possibly the most important Evangelist and teacher of Jesus Christ in history of Christianity.
I've watched this movie several times. Very refreshing & heartbreaking. Not the typical action-packed Biblical film. Saint Paul and the early Christians indeed are the heroes. I hope anyone who watch this film, will be reminded how important our Faith in our Lord Jesus Christ.
This is a movie you can appreciate for facts it lifted my soul I don't think I have seen a movie so biblicaly accurate

That lady Joanne who plays Priscilla was in another movie where she played Pilate's wife. She was great in that movie and there is a special quality about her that said she is a believer in Jesus Christ. PRAISE GOD.

I saw this movie yesterday and was deeply touched. I am recommending it to my family and friends. It was difficult to view and think about the Roman torture of Christians and even more difficult to know that such evil still exists and is being largely ignored as people die for their belief in Christ. I am finally going to the movies again as more movies are based on Christian beliefs and values. I encourage everyone to go to these movies for personal inspiration and to let Hollywood know that there is a large audience and encourage them to make more faith based movies. I am grateful this movie was made and that I was able to see it.

Wow...thank you somuch for this movie. I watched it when it came out in SA and i was really touched. We need more movies like this to be produced at this age and time. Where people have a lot of questions and feel they are defined by their sins. I loved how even when i went back to do my study on Acts and epistle of Timothy all was so covered so nicely. Good story telling and changing lives indeed. We thank God for you all. Much love.

I have watch the movie about 5 times, and every time is new to me because there is so much to learn.
A strong story of Faith,
Sacrifice and Forgiveness. I highly recommend seeing it. So much has been forgotten by modern day man
about the sacrifices made by early Christians.
May they now know what true faith is all about and the pain and anguish that
can come with it. In the end however,
total peace and forgiveness will be the reward.
Thank God for using Jim Caviezel for the movie Paul the Apostle. It was great . I pray that we all become stronger in our faith in Our Lord Savior in Christ,.

Excellent movie. So happy that Faith Based movies are both high quality and also being seen by many people. We are in the Last Days now.. fulfilling the Book of Revelation.. as in the Days of Noah see all the wickedness and perversions... Curious how many of the cast are believers.
Man! what a great production this movie is!!..I saw it yesterday, and I am truly satisfied as a movie goer! The story is great, and with a powerful message, but besides that, this movie has great acting, great directing, great producing (the cinematography is beautiful, the music is amazing..the costuming, the sets, etc..) Two thumbs up from me to everyone involved in the making of this masterpiece.
