Glad that Slayton made it back into the fold. He has shown since being drafted that he is an asset. Giants receivers have the potential to be very good if the o-line can just be competent, which has been an issue since their last superbowl.
Ptrain another great video as always. Carmen Purcillo has impressed me very much he seems to be an excellent teaching coach. I have a feeling that our oline is going to be much better this year. Seems like there is a good vibe from what I am hearing about our oline coach. I am happy that DaBoll will be calling the plays its the right move. I like what I am hearing about Daniel Jones it sounds like he will be ready for season opener. Lock and Devitto are both doing well as the backup qbs. I hope Gunner O. Knee will be ready to go. I hope Elijah Riley will fit in as veteran CB which will add depth to our secondary group. It sounds like DJ Davidson had a good practice on the DL line. I am happy Slayton will be part of our wr group. It sounds like our receiver group is a string group. Great video as always Ptrain go Gmen looking forward to your next video😊

The OL has honestly made this team unwatchable.
With the amount of sacks and pressures we gave up last year there were entire games that didn’t even resemble football.
Oh it resembled football all right, it just wasn't the NFL, more like POP WARNER!!!!!
The players love Daboll, not Kafka. He should be calling plays.
It should also keep him from getting too emotional.
It's absolute nonsense that he(Bricillo) stayed with the party line that Neal will be "most likely" be the starting RT, NONSENSE!!!!!!!

Patty, I'm probably wrong but I still see Wan-Dale as a gadget receiver, not a true slot receiver, so maybe Ayir may be a better fit for slot receiver and may fit into the Giant's plans, so I hope he makes the team.
You want Ayir to replace Robinson.

@@cooldude7821 I know, but I read about him about a month ago and the impressions were quite positive. Some receivers just have a real knack for the position and he seems to have it. I'm just hoping he makes the practice squad for this coming season and somehow manages to avoid being taken by another team. By next season, I suppose there will be someone who will be the odd man out, possibly Hodgins, but I've always believed a true slot receiver cannot be 5'8" tall, as Wan-Dale is. Besides, I'm a sucker for the underdog, so I'm rooting for Ayir.

Im worried about this offensive line. I don't think Daniel Jones should start behind this group until they show cohesion. I don't like Elumenor at LG and I don't like Neal at RT. I'm making my notes Patty. They are starting this crazy stuff again.
versatility worked out so well last few years. Not impressed with him so far. Same ole same ole.
Nice report! My understanding is that Slayton's incentive goals are rather steep (such as 1K yards receiving, which would seem unlikely with Nabers on the team). Sounds more like something for Slayton to "save face" vs. a true contract extension, but the reality is that the Giants had little rationale for offering much more. I like Slayton and think that he still can be a positive force on the offense, he just had very little leverage here.
The real takeaway is that the giants offensive line was taken away in order to tank another season 😅
I would like to Slayton to get an extension.He is a good number two and worst one of the best number three receivers in the lrague
Slayton definitely didn't look like his usual happy go lucky self in that interview.
Great broadcast Ptrain….i really enjoy your incite and observations when covering the Giants. Don’t always agree with your takes, but you are always logical and form rational thoughts. I think the Giants will take major steps in the offensive line play under the tutelage of Bricillo and new vet lineup. This should give Daniel the time to open up our WR playbook. Again, one of your best broadcasts!

Patricia - have you seen Rourke's pre-season tape in Jacksonville? With that offensive line, the Giants need a mobile quarterback who can make plays.
No but I've seen him in live drills through two practices.

@@LockedOnGiantsNFL Here are his Jaguars pre-season footage. He played very well in pre-season last year. In three pre-season games, he completed 23 of 35 passes for 348 yards with one touchdown and no interceptions. Tony Wiggins from "Locked on Jaguars" was quite complimentary of Rourke after watching him play. Rourke was a star in the CFL and had a solid career at the University of Ohio, leading Ohio to three consecutive bowl victories. Unfortunately, Ohio plays in a small conference and Rourke was not drafted. Rourke played in Vancouver/ in the CFL and was outstanding in 2022. His dream is to play in the NFL despite being Canadian and that's how he ended up in Jacksonville last year. Doug Pederson spoke very highly of him, and so did Bill Behlichick, making Rourke the backup QB in New England ahead of Mac Jones in the final Patriots game last season, three weeks after Rourke was picked up by the Patriots.
Rourke is still learning the Giants playbook, but with more time, you may be surprsed to see what he can do. He really reminds me of Doug Flutie the way he moves, scrambles and makes plays.

Should the Giants cut Carlos Basham Jr. and sign 37-year-old free agent IDL Calais Campbell to a 1-year contract to replace Leonard Williams?
Campbell will be 38 by start of the season. He will want about 7 million. Boogie is much younger (26). Much cheaper (1.4 million). Has upside. Campbell is on the downside. Much slower.
Yeah keep Boogie
