My grandmother, when TIKI first opened, was on a tour that included Disneyland and the Lawrence Welk show (yup, that long agod). She came back and reported the TIKI room was The Best...she was amazed at how well they had trained the birds.....
Hah awesome. This is like how people thought a train was coming at them through a window in the first films of a train.

"Dr. Livingstone, I presume" became famous because it was perceived as a humorous understatement. David Livingstone had been missing for 4 years searching for the headwaters of the Nile .Henry Stanley mounted an expedition to find him. When he finally did find him in Tanzania, after a 700 mile march, after suffering from dysentery, smallpox and malaria, instead of whooping and shouting "we found him!" Stanley casually walked up and greeted him like he would if they had met in an explorer's club in London. Also, since Livingstone was British and Stanley was American, the handshake in the heart of Africa helped ease the tensions between England and America that were brewing at the time.
You can't have a bad day in Adventureland. Great video. Love the parts you just let me enjoy the sounds and environment. I felt like I was there. Perfect.

That tiki swag you were admiring was a pop-up shop by Jeff Granito, my favorite tiki artist. He does a lot of Disney inspired tiki stuff, and his designs have been used on official park merchandise like cups and stuff. He was there for Tikiland Day signing his artwork for fans! I wish I could have made it!
I will never get tired of your videos, David! As you were wandering through, I found myself wondering what window displays they may have on Main Street. Whenever I visited Disneyland, I made it a point to look at the window displays, because they were so cute! Do they have Halloween-themed displays this year? If you have a few minutes to spare on one of your Disneyland walkabouts, would you please provide a short clip of what they may have over there?

The benefit of a lightning lane for Indiana Jones is that the ride usually breaks down so it ends up turning into a multi experience pass so now I can go on space Mountain twice 💪🤷♀️😇
Adventure land is my favorite, and this reminds me of those ASMR videos you did where you just sat and recorded the flow and the sounds of the lands. I played those in the background dozens of times, time to go dig them up again. For those of us "Family from Colorado" folks who can only make it to Disney a few times a year, I really appreciate this leisurely taste of the park. Keep em coming!

I didn’t know that Aladdin’s oasis became tropical hideaway. I did notice that the only remnant of Aladdin’s was carpet in front of the entrance to hideaway.

Adventure Land was great. The Tiki Room is not the same without Maynard!
We were there yesterday too and it really was very nice although after 6pm the DCA crowds were getting pushed out so I assume it probably got busier around that time. We left by 6:30 so we had our fill for the day.
Indy really is a fantastic queue and fantastic show!

Hey I'm in your video haha! (48.26 sitting on the rocks at the Indy ride entrance, in my tiki outfit!). Btw, the Tiki Room is my Happy Place, my favorite attraction since I was a little kid, so magical, and then we'd have dinner at the Tahitian Terrace and watch the hula show (yep I'm that old, lol). My best memories are right there in that little corner of Disneyland!
I noticed the Tropical Hideaway poster for the 1st time in August, I wondered if it was new or just hadn't noticed before. I was surprised @ how much I like the loco moco bao.
Oh I love this!! Some of my favorite attractions and food! Thanks for the "pick-me-up" on a Monday ❤
It was TikiLand Day!!! We also host Adventureland Day too but yesterday was TikiLand Day! Both have treasure hunts with text clues and real prizes!!!

I truly enjoy Adventureland at Disneyland more than Adventureland at the magic kingdom. Disneyland’s version feels more intimate (even though it does get a bit compacted at times) while the magic kingdom version almost feels too overwhelming with how big it is. I mean…yes the magic kingdom version still has the Swiss family Robinson treehouse…but they shoehorn in way too many attractions. The magic carpets, tiki room (thank goodness under new management is gone), jungle cruise, and pirates of the caribbean. The inclusion of pirates in the land is what throws me off because I’m so used to seeing pirates next to the rivers of America. In this case, less is more. To be honest, I think I have only gone into Aladdin’s Oasis twice while it was still operating. Once when it was sort of still a dinner show and once when it was a show/meet and greet. It was ok but I prefer Tropical hideaway. It just feels more organic inside Adventureland. Like it’s been there for a long time. Pelican’s landing is nice, too. But I sort of wish the seating was close enough for a good spot to watch Fantasmic (I miss sitting down watching the show).

day, try doing unique places and items. Where is Adventureland dedication sign, oldest tree, little house at a tree, secret spot to see Jungle Cruise. Or add links to classic FB videos.
I know this is stupid, but the two times I've ridden Indiana. One as a child and one as an adult I have not been able to keep my eyes open - thanks for showing me what I've missed!

Hello David, not sure if anyone has suggested this but have you tried adding weights to the unbalanced side of the gimbal? I was experiencing something similar when I tried filming at galaxies edge and found them incredibly useful. Hope it helps.

The Indy ride and whole setup of it looks awesome. I wish they had it in Orlando....and don't tell me that they have Dinosaur...that does not count. :P
You can buy counterweights for DJI om3/4 to help with heavier phones or phones with lens attachments and cases. They cost about 10 bucks and can be easily found on Amazon.
zhiyun smooth 5 worked great with my Note 20 Ultra. I got the Fold 4 now and haven't even tried it yet with that, I'm sure the my new fold is too heavy or at least to thick when folded.

Ok. I am starting to believe Disneyland hasn’t closed the door on Disneyland forever just yet…yes, it’s a far fetched notion. But based on the dapper dans singing the “Live the magic” theme in front of the train station…tells me that fireworks show is so popular that I think it will return to Disneyland in some form…just like how remember dreams come true had returned. But hey, I could be wrong.🤷🏻♂️

If you figure out a gimbal solution, I’m super interested! I’m running an old Osmo 2, which is terribly out of date. I’m always crooked - sometimes by as much as 10 degrees! It’s awful.

Hey david! fyi I use the DJI OM5 to vlog in the parks. I use a Samsung S22 Ultra and it works great
Of course, they will ask you if that pole extends and you should just say no, the OM4 and the OM5 look the same, so they cannot tell that OM5 extends. Hint, I purchased the DJI OM Fill Light Phone Clamp, It gives me more space for the S22 to fit on it, and also lighting for when you are using the selfie camera.
David regarding your DJI Osmo 4 Gimbal issue. Try resetting the Bluetooth on gimbal which is done by holding ALL 3 buttons (mode record and trigger) at the same time while it’s on with your phone attached for 15 seconds it should then turn off. When you turn it back on and open the Mimo App it will ask you to reconnect it. Or if you want a different gimbal get the Zhiyun Crane M3 which is the BEST you can get for a smartphone and it does NOT have a built in extension pole. A less expensive option without a built in extension would be the Zhiyun Smooth 5. I know a few streamers that use the Osmo 4 with the S22 Ultra and they don’t have any balancing issues
Are the people going IN the exit at Indy using DAS and stroller passes?
Try getting Bengal Bbq skewers near closing time, they're usually not great haha. The meat for me was rubbery and the asparagus was twice-warmed and stringy. I should have just gone to Tropical Hideaway!

Thank you Dave. My son and I were there the first week of Sept. and Indy was really bad..half of the effects were not working, Indy is usually a ride I would go on several times but the way it was working was just not worth going back to..so when will Indy's maintenance become a priority?
