@@EruditeMagic I did it for myself, so I figured I’d share it with everyone else. I have a close-up contest for the IBM ring one in St. Louis coming up in November. I’m trying to figure out what do use in my act and the things you went through sounds awesome.
I had one set of slightly USED copies of this set, but I also have 3 NEW sets available. Thanks for reviewing these this way. As I’ve stated before, if I were to be stranded with only one set of books, these would be the set. There is so much incredible magic in each volume. I’ll look forward to your Volume 2 review in the future. Don Don’s Magic & Books
Thanks for your review. I love these books. They teach you to be original , and develop presentation. Paul Harris is a genius. He always thought outside the box.
Las Vegas Leaper and Reset are worth the price of all three books by themselves. Too many gems to name here, glad to see some love given to gambler vs. mentalist vs. magician. Cheers!
Improv Night Shades is a brilliant, brilliant effect. Reset is my favorite card trick. I’m a Bannon guy but if someone told me to show them one amazing card trick, the Aces and Jacks are coming out for a little Reset action.
I love the study guide format. If you have a chance next time, please also review The Secrets Of Brother John Hamman! It would be nice if it is in study guide format, but a general review would be good too!!
Always thought about getting these books but thought they might have a lot of pipe dreams in them but it seems I was mistaken.I like the look of it(them).Definitely to be added to the book wish list!Looks like there’s lots of card tricks and that’s my favourite genre.Excellent presentation cheers.Great work! Thanks Jeff.
In MS/HS I had one of his VHS Tapes. Then about 10 years ago I picked up a dvd of all of his 1st 3 tapes. There are shows within shows in his stuff. Thanks for the review.
Hello Jeff! Thank you for the review and study guide. I’ve long heard great, great, great things about AoA series, and I’m happy to say I picked them up using the link you provided. Thank you for the nice little sneak preview of what’s to come in those pages! Be well! 🎩 🎩 🎩
Thank you for this study guide. I've seen this book at my local magic shop for years. ( browsers den of magic) I've been curious about it but never picked it up because i wasn't sure if i would like what was inside. But after seeing your video, i went to my local magic shop and picked it up (just yesterday). I'm really excited to see what other miracles I'll find inside. Thank you 😁
Yes i have all 3 volumes i got mine from tannes in newyork .. I love this books its such a fun read.. There is a ton of material which is well worth the price.
Outside books about sleights and moves, if all you ever read was AoA (and the VI sankey books), you would have enough outstanding magic to last a lifetime. Also, the Vanish 5000 is basically the foundation for most of Gregory Wilson's Coffee House Conjuring 2 series.
It’s funny you stated this. My fist few years in this craft was literally AOA, Early Regal books and Jay Sankey DVD’s. Only after did I really study the basics.
Just reread these books this year!!! also check out stars of magic series that features him showing a lot of items from these books. this book gets a 5/5 from me!!

My favorite part about this series is that I took him 3 books and about 1000 pages to stand up. If you don’t get it look at the covers 😂
