I’m skeptical of the control arms of the mop feature they seem very flimsy and I’m not sure they’ll hold up overtime but time will tell that this looks really good though
I also have the combo j7+ since it was released (same arms/design) and so far so good. I am still worried long term as well especially since I have toddlers 😂
I had a J7+ combo, I don't know if it was just me, but the next day when I woke up it was under the table and the mop pad was broken of, when I checked the history It said there was a brush roll issue. Then the roomba lost connection. Just so you know
What all you reviewers don’t add is… if your Wi-Fi is 5ghz none of the other robot vacuum will map! Believe me I’ve tried others before I realized what “5 ghz not supposed”.
Personally, the negatives you list are mostly a positive to me. Camera access and remote control are a serious security risk, so I'd rather not have them. Self-cleaning mops are actually not as good as you may think. Those systems are usually a bacteria and mold paradise. I would rather clean the mop manually. The only thing I'd like to have is spinning mops, but then again I would rather have the current lifting design than those.
I will totally agree with @aisaaax. Base stations seems to get dirty really frequently. In addition, i strongly believe that all vacuums that lift their mops to cross carpets are touching the carpet and polute them. Its just marketing to say its 7mm or 10.5mm from the ground. And finally it is more hygiene to have 3,4 fiber mops and clean them in the washing machine and change them during the mopping of the rooms. In most systems with the same mop they ''clean'' the entire house. I do not believe that they are adequately cleaned in base stations. Most companies sell features that i have doupts if they worth it and bring value to the final result.
I have a small .5 inch bump/step between my kitchen snd living room. Basically it's where tiles meet the hardwood floor, and the transition is covered by a rounded cover. Will it be ableto drive over that?
nice video. Do you ever touch on the noise output of typical usage? I had an iHOME A11, me and the wife were pleastantly surprised at how quiet it was, and how well it actually vacuumed with relatively low noise output.
Thanks for brining this up. I will discuss with my editor how we can better showcase that for you. At 17:31 in the video we discuss how loud it is compared to other vacuums so hopefully that helps you!
Mine cant mop my concrete style tile floor. slips and goes in circles. iRobot sending a replacement. When it lifts the mop, it can drive fine on slick floors. but somehow the mop is holding it from working prooerly. If the replafement still has issues its going bzck. Wheels shouldnt be slipping on floors.
After spending way too much for the piece of sh!+ roomba s9+ and getting random error 31, im never getting another irobot product. Going to give the Dreame x40 a go with 12000pa suction should run rings around a roomba.
Hi, is your ability to customize your favorites working? I submitted a ticket and talked to support and they think it’s a bug they need to escalate to the developer team for the app. I first noticed this issue when I tried to click Vacuum Everywhere and it Vacuumed and Mopped against my wishes My issues are as follows: 1. The app comes with two pre-configured Favorites: Vacuum Everywhere Vacuum and Mop Everywhere Today I clicked the Vacuum Everywhere and it proceeded to Vacuum and MOP 2. When I click Favorites > + (New Favorite > Name the Favorite and then proceed to click on each room to customize, the switches do not work. For example, I click into my Office, change the Cleaning Mode to just Vacuum. The Text does not update, it still says Vacuum + Mop I change the suction, cleaning passes, etc. and nothing saves, nothing happens, nothing updates. The text in the UI does not change and when I leave the screen, it does not save my settings.
Yes it does! I don't know why that footage did not make the final edit but it goes great at avoiding pet waste. So much so iRobot has what they call the P.O.O.P Guarantee where they will replace your unit if it does!
So the scenes at 10:21 and 16:12 not enough? We appreciate your feedback and want to use it to improve future videos so let me know more about what you want to see!!!
They hold a lot and last longer than they look like they do! I use my big vacuum and literally vacuum the bag to empty it, then spray some anti-bacterial and reuse it. I do it until I see that the bag really needs to be replaced and can't stand being vacuumed anymore😅
they dont really clean their mob pats... they just make a mess. all this modern stations are optimal for breading different cultures of microbes if you are into "pets"
That's why irobot chose not to offer cleaning to leave it up to users to be more sanitary. Now the competition makes stations that have hot water mop washing and trying to be more sanitary!
@@DigitalDavid kudos to irobot then. you cant keep those clean, those stations never will work, its just a marketing gag imho. even heating up to 60C will bring nothing as when the mop cools down slowly reaches optimal breading conditions again, moisture and a temperature around 40 C and residues of dirt and microbes. and then you have a tank with dirty water in your living room... imagine mopping your room manually and leave the dirty water for weeks there. i think people got fooled by the industry into buying overpriced machines for 1500$ which do not really keep the thing clean.
Thanks so much for sharing your concerns. Let me do my best to address them for you: 04:42 in the video shows you exactly what you are looking for! Bottom tray is the vacuum bag and upper is the clean water tank. There is no dirty water tank to empty. You need to manually clean the mop pad. Let me know if you have any other questions and thanks for watching & commenting!

Must be 2.4ghz!
Get a Linksys Router, they switch no issues, best routers I have ever used.
Pretty sure it says it needs 2.4 ghz when you set up the app. Could be wrong though.
Personally, the negatives you list are mostly a positive to me.

Totally feel you on this and that's why I try to tread lightly as it's just my preference vs someone else's!

Very useful, thanks!
iRobot had also mentioned that they didn’t include the Self-Washing mop pads because is was not very sanitary and could produce nasty odors.
I heard that but I have never had those issues with any of the other top of the line robo vacs that offer it! Seems like more of an excuse to me 🤷♂️
You are welcome!
Dave how about doing new wireless robot mowers?
YES!!! We hope to expand into them in 2024!
I have a small .5 inch bump/step between my kitchen snd living room. Basically it's where tiles meet the hardwood floor, and the transition is covered by a rounded cover.
Will it be ableto drive over that?
That will be close. Definitely worth a shot. If not the most aggressive vacuums for transitions like that would be Anker eufy vacs!
I knew they would bring out a j9+ i got the s9+ awsome vacuum works super well dont need the mop in my place
Love the s9+! Still my favorite model... it was YEARS ahead of its time!
Great video!! Can you please mention the other robots you mentioned (at the final thougths), I want to see pros and cons. Thank you!
Thank you! We have an entire "vacuums" playlist on our channel. We recommend checking that out to see all the other robot vacuums we have review. -MB

Thanks for the comment! I have not, but let us know if you do! -MB
How is the automation setting when you have pets in the house?
Good! Anything in particular you are concerned about?!
I can't hear how loud it is because you added the music.

Excelente máquina la recomiendo la vida es más fácil con Pac amada rumba
Yes we agree! Thanks for watching!
I just bought it
How do you like it?!

Sorry to hear that about your s9+! I think you will really like Dreame for the price!!
Dommage qu'il n'y est pas de traduction Française cela paraît très intéressant.
Sorry to hear that! One of our goals is to have our videos in every language when our channel is large enough!
Nice❤❤❤
You know it Andrew!!!
Me da error al mandarla a limpiar por segunda vez 😢😢😢

I'm not appearing to have that issue with my favorites! Please keep us posted!
@@DigitalDavid I tested further and the app works on my boyfriends phone who has an iPhone 15 but not my iPhone 13 mini :(
Thanks for the update that is so strange!@@rainbowbw95
@@DigitalDavid still no fix :( I got an entirely new phone too and no luck
couldnt you just find the MAh capacity of the battery ON the battery?
Sometimes they don't show the capacity on them! Per Amazon answer it might be ~4000mah!
Lets put this dirty mop on top of the robot ......BRILLIANT.
Thanks for the comment! -MB
Show does it avoid doggie poop

Would have been nice to see it actually vacuum a dirty rug or floor. Vacuuming a clean rug and showing that it picked up some dust isn’t very helpful.

From a house with a dog and 4 children, I can guarantee you that it does an amazing job on dirty rugs😂
The bags are so small
But they work! You would be surprised what you can cram in them lol

Can you not speak so fast, please? It is difficult for foreigners with basic knowledge of English to follow you
Hopefully you can slow down the video to help!
This was barely useful, didn’t even show us how to open the dust bin on the vacuum or open the water tank to empty it. Like come on.
