Brian Ball I remember for my Professional Writing paper, me and my group had to make a promotional campaign for Kia Motors, Kia Soul. I now think we should have done the promotional campaign for the Optima. The Kia Soul was pretty good as well.
I bought 2015 Optima LX for my birthday! I've been driving for over 40 years and SO FAR this is one of my favorite cars. Pros: Quick, quiet, stylish, impeccable workmanship, layout interior, great handling, good gas mileage and braking. Cons: Weak AM/FM/SAT Radio (CD is great), Slightly rough Idle Past owned cars: 3 Honda Civics, Honda CRX, Honda Accord, Toyota Solara, Infiniti M45.
I have the blue one like they are testing.Engine failure, rust and suspension issues.People comment on it even though it’s 9 years old.Part of me wants to get rid of it but honestly l have had minimal issues and Kia has taken care of most of them.Car is beautiful.
My first newer car. 2013 KiA Optima. I've had a little over a month. I put a K&N cold air intake on it.( The 50 State Legal one.) It got rid of the power Lag nicely. I absolutely LOVE this car. 4 cylinders -2.4L- 205 HP (with intake). YES Please
i work at kmmg in west point in the general assembly area and i am the black guy putting in the dash board (we call it crashpad) and i must say the optima is a awesome car...we build sum great cars there
I have a 2012 EX. I put $1200 worth of modifications in it, but kept the look clean. I have had it for 2.4 years with ZERO problems. No breakdowns, no recalls, and I still get attacked in parking lots by (mostly women) asking about it. Great car. Oh, bonehead mechanic guy in the video overstated the torque by 10 lb ft. The 2.4 has 186 lb ft, not 196.
I bought my car 9 months ago in never giving any problems the car is Kia optima LX GDI 4 cylinder sedan silver with 99.700 miles 2013 200 HP cleaning inside nice beautiful color silver coming with sunroof in front very nice car smoothly for driving good suspention running very well and have small accidents in the back of rear but the running like new.
My Hybrid Optima EX model gets 49.5 mpg and it gets the Lexus and BMW drivers wanting my car. We drove from Miami to Pittsburgh with one fill up in Virginia. Cost of gas was $46 to fill up. We are building our own fully loaded K900, V8 and 420hp. Kia is the most amazing car on the road!
It a beautiful car, I bought the 2013 Kia Optima EX 2.4L. I have just over 20,000 miles on it, and I have recently had two problems with not being able to start my vehicle once while parking it face down hill towards the street in my driveway later got in the vehicle and there was absolutely nothing. I put my jump starter on and couldn't get it started I left the jump starter on for a period of time and finally was able to get it started and let it run thinking it was the battery. Went and had the battery checked they said my battery was perfectly fine. Then one time I took it out front of my home and parked it out front with the nose facing on a downward slope both of these times I set the emergency brake. After finishing washing my vehicle I could not start it. Nothing the vehicle did not even turn over. Again used my jump starter and eventually was able to start my car. Now recently I came out of a doctors appointment I got in my vehicle and suddenly my air conditioning was no longer cold. The next morning when I got in my vehicle the air conditioner was working oh I forgot to mention the day that I got in the car when I first noticed the air-conditioner had quit while sitting there with the vehicle running and it was very hot outside in the 90s, I open the drivers door to let the air come in and the dash displayed a message that there was no key in the car. However my key was in the exact same spot didn't move it. The air-conditioner worked for two days and the next day I had no air conditioning. Then after coming out of a doctors appointment in having stitches removed I get in my vehicle I started it and it was making a phone call prior to pulling out of the parking lot. My engine started to stumble and then quit. Good thing I continually carry my jump starter with me no matter what vehicle I have. However this time if I would push the button the car would act like it was trying to rollover and start. I let the jump starter sit for a moment, tried several times and then eventually got it started but didn't sound like it wanted to run I have 3/4 of a tank of gas I still have 1000 miles to go before I even needed and oil change so I was good on my oriole level two. So I immediately wanted to get to the closest auto parts store that could check my battery again. I got to an AutoZone store and after pulling into the parking lot looking at the display I noticed my radiator temperature was maxed out. I turned my heater on full blast to try to cool the engine down before I shut it back off. Got the temperature down some and then I went and purchased the premixed antifreeze and the store manager came out and put it in the reservoir which was only showing a very low level in the bottom. We turn the heat off and the vehicle started to heat back up. He said he couldn't understand what was going on with it either I said I would have known if there was an antifreeze leak in my garage as I keep my garage floor. Clean. So as we had the car sitting there running he could see that it was pulling in the antifreeze from the reservoir but if the air-conditioner was turned on it will heat the vehicle up and start spewing out the top of the reservoir outlet. I started to look around in the car at the fans and I noticed the fan behind the radiator was not working. He said well they don't run all the time. However if the vehicle was running the air conditioning and heating up it should kick on and it was not. There are several recalls back on my vehicle one is a safety recall that he hasn't even determined what the fix will be yet and has sent a letter with an envelope to submit any bills you might incur regarding fragments shavings being in the engine causing you to have an engine failure. Engine connecting rod safety recall campaign. The other one is a voluntary service campaign to apply additional anticorrosion material to the underbody components of certain 2011 to 2014 My Optima and Optima hybrid vehicles that were originally sold in or are currently registered in the states were heavy amounts of road salt are used. I have heard some mention of individuals posting RUclips's regarding the Kia optima not wanting to start when it is parked on an incline. I don't know the exact details but apparently something to do with transmission not recognizing that it's in park or something to that effect. I wondered whether that was my problem both times when my vehicle would do nothing. From the very time I purchased my vehicle and till now I get very poor gasoline mileage. When I initially made mention of it to my Kia dealership one of the employees said Kia was offering I believe $500 rebate back to owners that we're having that problem however they never gave it to me and never told me how to obtain it. I generally always right my mileage on my receipts each time I get gas.
Great car the Optima...and the Cadenza (which I own). It's just too bad they can't seem to fix the reoccurring problems with their panoramic moonroofs.
I just purchased a Hyundai Sonata, which is what I have wanted since they came out with the new design in 2011. But now I'm thinking I want an optima. I know hyundai builds or owns kia, but it seems like the optima is a sturdy, well put together, elegant car and I think I might want one now...do you think I can trade in my sonata for an optima?
I bought this car a few months ago. Love it. Had it as a rental, and had to have it as my own. Come check out Optimaforums. com All the owners hang out on there and we have many modifications on these. No ricers though. We keep it classy.
Very nice disaing of this vehicle sedan 4 , i have one 2013 4 cylinder sedan silver 200 HP with 99.700 miles like is 11.000 per year when i driving is smooth countable big space inside and the trunk Great great car made ! congratulations 👏
Would you please tell the designer of the Optima that he sucks at making them easy to work on! Please please have someone who works on cars help design them!!!
KIA/Hyundai: Poor quality control and horrible customer service. Buy one if you like replacing engines and don’t forget about the electronic nightmares that come with this brand.

He is a Real Genius, a Michael Angel of cars.

I know hyundai builds or owns kia, but it seems like the optima is a sturdy, well put together, elegant car and I think I might want one now...do you think I can trade in my sonata for an optima?
James Barela - Yes you can trade anything for anything. KiA offers the best extended warranty on the market right now. I love the KiA Sedona too.
The Hyundai is better than Kia, even if they share platforms.
I want this car
Don't the spark plugs fall into motor if you drive it?
what do you mean the spark plugs fall into the motor if you drive it?
Turns out. Nope, they couldn’t succeed. Class action lawsuit recall on all engines 2011-2019.
I'm about to drive this car to work...
It’s Amazing design midsize car ever building

Would you please tell the designer of the Optima that he sucks at making them easy to work on! Please please have someone who works on cars help design them!!!
Its not Peter schryers design, it the engineer's that do all that. The designer just makes the DESIGN.
KIA/Hyundai: Poor quality control and horrible customer service. Buy one if you like replacing engines and don’t forget about the electronic nightmares that come with this brand.
The design was a copy of audi a 6 somehow
that thick southern acient make it seem like those boys are incapable of making a good car
Yeah... I don't know how I ended here when I was trying to figure how my pops engine fail.. WTF.. "reliable" please.. Cheap crap
Very nice video
Oh my optima LX GDI is very good
