Very cool tone Mark! Your gear without the Koko sounds great already and this pedal is insane, indeed. I love rock and blues as well as many other demos of this pedal but hearing it used in a Dokken song really makes you think of the possibilities in a heavy rock / metal context. Keep it up man!
@richedie It's more of a boost than O/D but to be honest I never tried it the way you are suggesting. It should be cool, since the two settings cascade. I still have my LP and PRS SC but the Modern just does it all for me :)
Mark, great demo. Does the Koko Boost just add gain to amp, or does it add volume when kicked on as well? I'm thinking of picking up one to boost my IIC+ at low volume, but I'm curious if it can be used as a solo boost as well.
Hey Mark, I love your videos!! I am looking for some advice if you dont mind. I have a 2 channel amp with serial effects loop. My koko boost is in front of my amp. I use it to push my second channel which works awsome. The problem is I want the leel a little higher for leads. I am thinking the only way I can boost the volume inthe second channel is to put an eq in the effects loop with the volume cutting my signal and when I turn the pedal off the level comes back up. Do you have any suggestions that may be better. Cheers, Dean
I have the Suhr Riot and I love it! I got the Boss FB2 as a booster but I don't like it, it gets so sharp with my Strat even though I use a flat boost and not mid. You think this pedal would work better? My amp is a Fender Hot Rod Deluxe III. And a question about your Suhr guitar which I love, I would really want the version that is similar to the Pensa Suhr MK1 but I wonder if the guitar is "thick" as a Les Paul on the higher frets or more like a Strat? Looking forward to your answers Mark!;)
I use a Mesa Boogie Dual Rectifier live and need something for a solo kick. Of all the pedals you demo, is this the one you'd recommend? I use a lot of gain and really like the mid boost in this clip.
Nice videos sir. How would you compare this to the BB preamp? I know this is more of a boost but let's say you put either one in front of a moderately distorted lead channel of an amp which pedal do you think gives a warmer more saturated violin like tone?
Great sound. I dont hear that much difference between the pedal on or off. Im not sure what you gained that you couldnt get just by turning up your amp gain and mids.
Searching the Koko Boost and who pops up with a demo but Mr Tone! 👊🔥 Killer as always sir.

@andrewbarnall Sorry about that, this video is a little old and I've learned my lesson. All my videos are now music first talking after :)
Mark
@bpkkonegro
I have tried it before the Suhr Riot and it sounds great, not so sure about after a distortion pedal?
Awesome tone, man!
Good to hear Mark! I love my LPs, never bonded with SCs , but I do love the McCarty and CE-22!
What is the Modern like? I might have to try!

I wonder.. what strings do you use? But amazing tone with that Koko Boost man. Especially that mid boost.

Hey Mark! Big fan of your videos!
Which pickups do you use in this guitar?
Great playing, and quite an entertaining guy :)
@Haladhara1 I much prefer the Koko over the BB.

Hey Mark, this pedal really kicks.

great Job on the demo. What did you use for a noise gate ? That was a shit load of gain !!!
Nice tone !
Your set up is around $5000, but it sounds it! Awesome!
how would you describe the frequency range for the 3 positions? similar to the riot?
Please make a vid demoing how you record live audio for youtube.
wow when you turned that all the way right it sounded alot like reb beach tone, to me anyways. I gotta get one of these!
where did you get the guitar at? i tried musicians friend but they didnt have them.
Have you tried the Koji Compressor? If so, what do you think of it? :)
@samhillband Still better than 9/10 videos regarding this product. Like only one other person covers this product in depth.
@Matt6Ran95 That's actually what I thought. Thanks man.
What Dokken riff was that? Sounded killer !!
It's called: So Many Tears and it's from the album called Back for the Attack
Damn you, Mark.
I'm officially $250 down now because of this video, I hope you're satisfied!
Mark, thought you were always a huge Les Paul guy...what happened?
By the way...how is this boost into a clean channel for a typical OD tone.
@chokerjoker4 Thanks. I may have to try myself.
I go KOO KOO for Koko Boost!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

SICK fucking tone bro! Puts the SPLAWN to shame!
@jem7772 Decimator ProRack G
I hope Santi Claws puts one under the tree for me!
Want!
Fuck yes!!!
このオッサンが変顔するの好きだなあ❗
だけど何年更新してないんだ?😁
@bpkkonegro
Before :)
8:10 XDDD
I like your vids but you use wayyy too much gain.
Of course I do :)
It's hair metal, of course it has loads of gain. Just not your typical modern sounding gain.
What is the riff you're playing ?? Sounds like Dokken but I can't remember the name of the track ?
So Many Tears
