    Distractions, charging El-Rufai no one is talking about the importation of the said banned substance.

    • @razbus7343

      Charging Rufa to courti is the best way to talk about the importation of the poisonous thallium sullphate. He who asserts must prove, Let El-Rufai present his evidence to the court, and let Ribadu defend himself, so as to avoid unnecessary social media dramatization of a potentiallly serious allegation.

      The DSS have asked him to provide his evidence. If he presents it, and he feels the DSS cover it up. He should bring them to the public court. He is good at doing that, isn't he? What we don't want however, is false allegations, and a feeling of grandiosity.

    Why not play snippets of the video from Arise Tv for more clarity. Well, Channels tv never plays other media outfits snippets. They think they're the standard when it comes to journalism in Nigeria. What they fail to understand is that, it is standard practice globally to play snippets from other media outlets as long as credit is given to the original owners of the video.

      Especially Channels, they believe they’re the yardstick with which media and news go out, so they can’t be playing a junior station’s news as a Reference.
      Arise plays their own interviews in any case of reference but channels never plays other stations but they can discuss their topics when it goes viral what a hypocritical bunch of media people.

    On the surface you will think El-Rufai has committed a treasonable felony until you listen to Barrister Iniebhe. Don't be surprised that this is a calculated political move by Nasir E-Rufai to nail Ribadu for incompetence.
    Also, the President should be quick to hear and slow to speak. Passing a vote of confidence on Ribadu just a day after this serious allegation or claim is most disturbing. The President must differentiate between loyalty, responsibility and roles

  • @josslab
    @josslab 28 days ago +4

    Those charges are admittance to tapping of NSA phone line. As you said, the onus is on them to prove that El-rufai committed tthe crime. The charge should have been that he was peddling falsehood to undermine national security, and they can prove it by showing the NSA line is secure. Interesting times ahead

    • @ray-df8bq

      Simple!!!! But yoroba commenters here no wan reason. I thought they always claim to be the logical realists while others are sentimental wailers. If you charge someone for tapping your phone, then you've admitted your phone was tapped. And if you've admitted it, that means you've confirmed the allegations he made about the conversation you had when he tapped your phone

    Why are you surprised of wire-taping in the Nigéria top corridors of power?
    You're over-rating our country ?
    In the first place, are they using secured phones in your villa?
    As we speak, virtually all government MDAs & bureaucracy from top to bottom are still using yahoo mail & gmail for official communications. You're overating them if you think they are not susceptible to intrusions.
    FYI, Some of your top officials can be so clueless & reckless to use girlfriends' phones for official communication.
    In fact, they don't care about secure communications because of the flagrant impunity they enjoy....

      The NSA admitting that his phone was wiretaped is the height of his incompetence; nowonder we are where we are now with the insecurity. He should simply resign his office and concentrate on politics. Let someone fit for the job take over and make us all safer.
      It took Mallam's revelation for him to realise that his phone was tapped; what a shame. It also means that the accusation that El-Rufai made about the NSA importing poison has some credibility.
      Those two know each other very well, and they know the damage they have caused us as a nation. Let the fight between the former friends continue. Perhaps more revelations may emerge that may help our security situation in this country.

    I honestly know where the learned man is coming from and what he is saying is right. But I don't totally agree with him. If there's a rogue employee in the office of the NSA or any other agency or agencies charged with cyber protection, there is nothing the office of the NSA can do. A rogue worker can do more harm from inside and there's nothing the NSA boss can do. We have seen a situation in the USA where it happened and the US was helpless. When it comes to cyber protection, it is my view that other agencies might have been involved. And sometimes lack of cooperations within the agencies often leads to this. If it was an inside job, it means that Nigeria as a nation is not safe when you think of the armed forces and how many rogue elements are within.

      You are very right.All his doing is litigating the case on TV and shouting. When the case starts all the details will come out in court. And he’s also bias and conflating issues. US security adviser appears with Trump almost everywhere he goes except when he’s out of the country. He needs to tone his voice and stop his misinformation on national TV

      Do you understand that we are talking about the NSA"s phone? His phone ought to be impenetrable. No wonder we are going nowhere with security challenges in this country. Perhaps Bokoharam and bandits are listening in on his conversations with security chiefs and getting ahead of them. It should worry every Nigerian.

    So if this is true, you mean it’s the fault of the nsa boss that his phone was tapped? Ibo la tun jasi yi? Even in western world, hackers get access to high classified government documents… lawyers are very interesting being😂😂😂😂

      @chibuzororgu7752 27 days ago

      The statement has bigger implications. It just doesnt look good for the institution. This is similar to robbing a police station. If NSA's phone can be tapped, what about the president's phone?

  • @latolak
    @latolak 27 days ago +1

    It would have been good to have an alternate legal opinion on here. Going by this gentleman's logic, if anyone makes a wild wire tapping allegation, the NSA should either resign or provide evidence to counter it. No serious government authority would react to the whims of a random claim. Such outrageous claims (true or otherwise) should not go unchallenged.
