I'm sorta in the same boat, I haven't hurt many people, but I said a lot of weird and grotesque things and ruined many friendships due to my stupidity a few years ago, and I wish I can just let go of my past and stop worrying about it haunting me. If I could go back in time, I'd beat myself up for saying the things I said, but I've recently have been working towards coming to terms with my past, and learn to accept I can't change things and I must work towards being a better person.

Im dedicating this last half of 2023 to myself, not selfishly but mostly trying to improve myself. It starts with my emotional and mental health. It’s time to take this one day at a time. Love you guys. I’m gonna make myself the best version I possibly can. 🙏❤️ Edit 9/18/2023: So it’s been about 3 months, and let me tell you that the progress has been astounding. The one thing I’ve learned over these months is to love yourself. Also I started a journal where I write down things that I am thankful for. I have lost 30lbs as well. I am the most emotionally mature of my life. I’ve grown closer than ever to God. Still got a ways to go, but I’m feeling great!

Today I decided to dedicate myself like never before. I've gone through hundreds of motivational videos, slides, texts, interviews, quotes, whatever you can think of. They've only served me a temporary purpose, as I always found myself back in the same predicament I was in before I'd watched them. Stuck in a cycle of detrimental habits and hobbies, lacking motivation and love for myself, misjudging others, acting irrational. I've always heard about how great of a person I can be, how much potential I have, how much my friends, family and girlfriend love and adore me, but I've never fully believed I was everything they say. I always found myself in a loop of scorn, hate, dejection and sadness. But today I've decided to follow this. I have no enemies. And that includes myself.
To anyone reading this, whether you've been bullied, cheated on, laughed at, mistreated. Always strive to become the nicest person and the kindest person you'll ever be no matter how much hatred is going to chase after you. Committing to (really) improving yourself is truly beautiful. All the pain, the sadness, the things you start to realize and so much more that comes with it can really get you down. I had just had a life threatening surgery last year around this time. I remember when I finally was sentient after everything I thought to myself “if I died, I would only be remembered as someone who was hateful and hurt other people” and that’s when decided to give Vinland saga a chance. After watching season one I realized I wasn’t so different from thorfinn and after a long trip to the mountains for deer hunting I realized no one in this world deserves to get hurt. Edit 9/18/2023: So it’s been about 3 months, and let me tell you that the progress has been astounding. The one thing I’ve learned over these months is to love yourself. Also I started a journal where I write down things that I am thankful for. I have lost 30lbs as well. I am the most emotionally mature of my life. I’ve grown closer than ever to God. Still got a ways to go, but I’m feeling great!

Today I decided to dedicate myself like never before. I've gone through hundreds of motivational videos, slides, texts, interviews, quotes, whatever you can think of. They've only served me a temporary purpose, as I always found myself back in the same predicament I was in before I'd watched them. Stuck in a cycle of detrimental habits and hobbies, lacking motivation and love for myself, misjudging others, acting irrational. Committing to (really) improving yourself is truly beautiful. All the pain, the sadness, the things you start to realize and so much more that comes with it can really get you down. But dealing with it and watching your seeds grow is so rewarding, it's worth it, it's pure self love.

I had just had a life threatening surgery last year around this time. I remember when I finally was sentient after everything I thought to myself “if I died, I would only be remembered as someone who was hateful and hurt other people” and that’s when decided to give Vinland saga a chance. After watching season one I realized I wasn’t so different from thorfinn and after a long trip to the mountains for deer hunting I realized no one in this world deserves to get hurt.
