My mother has been trying to make me understand this, she now has cancer to a point of no return and i finally got it when she said "why are you angry? We've had plenty of good times together remember? So why do you have to make an enemy out of everything?" And i responded "i have no enemies" she exclaimed 'YES' that was the most happy ive ever seen her, i will better myself because i have no enemies.

Im dedicating this last half of 2023 to myself, not selfishly but mostly trying to improve myself. It starts with my emotional and mental health. It’s time to take this one day at a time. Love you guys. I’m gonna make myself the best version I possibly can. 🙏❤️ Edit 9/18/2023: So it’s been about 3 months, and let me tell you that the progress has been astounding. The one thing I’ve learned over these months is to love yourself. Also I started a journal where I write down things that I am thankful for. I have lost 30lbs as well. I am the most emotionally mature of my life. I’ve grown closer than ever to God. Still got a ways to go, but I’m feeling great!
I am in a similar boat. Though I would say I am more so trying to find the reason I should live. Not that I will end myself, because that would be a waste.
I genuinely think Thorfinn is one of the most impactful characters not just in manga, but in all of fiction. Just look at the amount of people influenced by a character to become a better person. I can’t think of another character who has got this many people genuinely trying to improve themselves.

@charmander3594 I'm capable of it, I guess I pay attention to myself and am self aware to things like that. I'll get mad at someone and then later think "is that situation worth my time?" Generally it's not. 😅But I am capable of hate and anger, I can't say i never act on it but I try like hell to contain it.

They've only served me a temporary purpose, as I always found myself back in the same predicament I was in before I'd watched them. I don't know. I've been working out and training myself to beat the shit out of someone that's been bullying me for years. I don't know If I have the strength to let go all of those years of hatred and anguish I've been keeping. It doesn't feel right.
It was great for me before, I learn to be positive and just enjoy everything. Everything changed when I met her, i thought she would be my only one forever until she decided to leave. I learned afterwards that she was just simply.. curious. What the fuck kind of world are we living in where it's okay to do that? She knew how much I suffered from that, i was being played, I loved her for nothing, and now she's able to live just.. for her own? I want her to suffer but I know it's not for me to decide, I know deep down I don't want any harm happening to her. It's a constant battle of wanting to be better and wanting to inflict pain and suffering. It's a cycle that i've been living through since the start of the year.
This is that moment when you look back at your life and realize that you're entering a world where what you've done is now a burden. That shit hurts, but it's always important to remember that shame and regret come with the territory when you're trying to change. Having this massive, profound realization that you weren't a good person or that what you've done no longer carries the same weight shouldn't be something that you let scare you into reverting. Push forward, and become that beautiful, indomitable creature that we all want to be.

I genuinely think Thorfinn is one of the most impactful characters not just in manga, but in all of fiction. Just look at the amount of people influenced by a character to become a better person. I can’t think of another character who has got this many people genuinely trying to improve themselves.

Generally it's not. 😅But I am capable of hate and anger, I can't say i never act on it but I try like hell to contain it.

Today I decided to dedicate myself like never before. I've gone through hundreds of motivational videos, slides, texts, interviews, quotes, whatever you can think of. They've only served me a temporary purpose, as I always found myself back in the same predicament I was in before I'd watched them. Stuck in a cycle of detrimental habits and hobbies, lacking motivation and love for myself, misjudging others, acting irrational. I've always heard about how great of a person I can be, how much potential I have, how much my friends, family and girlfriend love and adore me, but I've never fully believed I was everything they say. I always found myself in a loop of scorn, hate, dejection and sadness.
But today I've decided to follow this. I have no enemies.
