That little (and probably very affordable) mill set up is really pretty cool! Although sometimes I think you take some pleasure in knowing the experts are going to have a "spaz" over that kind of stuff LOL
This small milling machine is good for small jobs - as to some Experts" comments, they are often not valid because after all this is not industry at work - it is just a hobby }:-)))
Yes it works OK, it wouldn't be my first choice, I would use a larger machine, but the little Proxxon tools are good things to have in my workshop for a variety of jobs.
on a job like that it can sometimes be kinder to the cutter to plunge cut the majority away rather than going back and forth with increasingly deeper cuts.
As to the EF70 (MF70?), maybe the machine is not at fault, although it is a light machine. I never got really good results with this kind of cutter, it too dull and actually only suited for wood. I have a few 3 mm HSS single flute cutters and they work far better. With your gynaecologist’s touch you should get excellent results.
New Graphics Couple of bravos for that
Thank You }:-)))
hi Keith i wanted to let you know I don't watch your videos because I find them useful I watch your videos because i find them interesting

Chip evacuation is an important aspect of deep milling. I use a vacuum cleaner to periodically remove the swarf.
yes
Have attempted to cut stainless steel with this proxxon?

The cutter doesn't seem to be bad. Is it a Proxxon 28722?
I can't remember, it is a genuine Proxxon cutter though .....
Hi Keith, I am having problems milling mild steel in my small mill. Have a 6mm and 12mm cutter. Am curious what RPM you are using on bronze?
Run it slowly and use plenty of cutting lubricant.
@@keithappleton Thank you Keith. That's two things I was not doing!

This will be off topic and may well get me slammed but have you ever done any work on a model steam turbine project?
I have had no experience of working on miniature steam turbines, maybe one day I will come across one.
