Tapsoba is decent but I would definitely be putting Kounde of sevilla on the list, starts as 81 rated I believe but has like 30 levels to upgrade which is far more than VVD and Koulibaly, once fully upgraded he should be rated better overall than both of them making him the best centre back in the game. Also surprised Marquinhos wasn't in there ..
The best defensive player is pinola he plays as a centre back originally but can also play as a full back both left and right and he can also play as a central middlefielder absolute beast
I think, de ligt is also a really great defender. You can buy him at a lower price than van Dijk. with a little training, he can be a strong man in your defense.
Couple of honourable mentions for cheap youngsters that level up great. Todibo from Nice 13k. Gvardiol Croatian National team 12k. Both have great cards esp Gvardiol, both are great when leveled up

Sensei is a great shout also, I had him as my first buy with Ben Godfrey as his partner but yeah he's good man decent speed, good aerial ability good defense and decent passing for that long ball counter style he's perfect, only recently upgraded to Gabriel Magalese

I signed Tanganga a few days ago because he's cheap and he's basically a CB disguised as RB and he's a max 50 lvl. However so far I have not been impressed with him. I think he could have more player skillls. However for the price he's worth a try
I also think J Gimenez is really good. he gets up to a 92 with The Destroyer playstyle , costs 180k gp and has pretty much every defensive skill in the game.

Are they going to change Form for players?? I hope you read this, or someone else can answer it, as I'm worried all the players I've purchased are suddenly going to tank.
The player form rating is controlled by Live Update (real life data from real teams and players based on their performances) For example, if Ronaldo scored a hat trick, he would more than likely be live updated to an A Player from (unwavering, standard or inconsistent) can be seen in the player profile page also on the second page using r stick and this is permanent. Unwavering players are more consistent and will be up more often

Tapsoba it's an excellent choice got it on my team and it's really good complement for a CB with destroyer ability... Because it's an organizer type and helps you with building de pace of the team, good passing skills and good speed

I signed Kanote and then I packed VVD. Together in 4-3-3 they are too slow so I signed Lucas Hernandez and he is fantastic alongside VVD

I am playing from the first day with Ginter and Pau Torres,and I can say I am satisfied enough with them.
