Other than that if you see how the two Uranus and Neptune scouts acted towards each other, they were more than 'cousins'. I have never read read the manga, but I did catch on while watching through the series that they were lesbian.
Yeah, originally, in Japan, they were simply lesbians, but the western world censored the crap out of their relationship. Malachite and Zoicite were gay (both were men in Japan) and the same thing happened to them, Zoicite was made a woman.
