    Curious why you were worried about the inspection? I’m assuming you do a thorough inspection at the port and document it with pictures.

      Plus at the ramp in Jacksonville there are always issues withe the truck. Some of the people when they inspect they look in between the doors stc

      I had a problem with a major dealership chain so much so that I no longer deliver to them. Always looking for a problem and trying to get deliveries for free.

      Would transporter be liable for interior issues? Also if yes how many picture you take per unit

    • @waltermonical2653
      @waltermonical2653 2 года назад +1

      I take between 2-20 pictures per vehicle, its all dependent on the situation, year and condition.
      For example
      5+ year old car going from repo yard to auction I take 2-3 pictures, load it and go, then try to take the exact same pictures upon delivery.
      Second scenario would be an IAA or Copart car usually I take several and document all the damage. reason being is these cars are already wrecked and company’s/ individuals that buy them are wanting specific parts or panels etc, as well as exporting them. A company tried to burn me when I first started hauling but pictures saved me.
      New car scenario is usually 5-9 pictures depending on the company’s required app.
      Car interiors are a gray area, best thing Ive found is if it is not normal wear and it gives you any kind of feeling then document it. Some apps require interior photos but most do not.

      Future my bad. I've been out of commission in trucking do to health. Now the rates change on the load what type of vehicles. Used, new, luxury and how fast they want it there. I was doing short loads in Florida from Jacksonville. So let's say I went from Jacksonville to Tampa. It could be for me 3 pickup trucks, I have a 4 car hauler. I seen the rates go from the low 450 to 700 for that trip. They play games sometimes talking about the brokers. Depends on how bad you want it now make sure you have a load coming back. That trip is about 3 hours and some change long. Used cars from Central wasn't that bad less headaches.
