You're genuine, well researched, and show a deep passion for what you talk about, and those are increasingly rare qualities in the current internet and musical landscape.

Thank you for all the fantastic videos, Oliver, and good luck with the Masters! I only discovered your channel recently and have watched compulsively ever since. Your Autechre and Tom Waits guides were wonderful for me as I was previously quite daunted by their respective back catalogues. It is, however, your genre guides that I have cherished above all else. I seriously doubt I would have ever considered listening to an album like Deathpile's "GR" if it wasn't for your recommendation. I'm not sure I will ever listen to it again, but I will enjoy casually suggesting it to friends/enemies for the rest of my life.

I've only just discovered your channel. I really appreciate the work you've done to produce such content. Your passion for the subject comes through in each video I've seen and I really enjoy hearing what you have to say on music I already know, as well that which I don't. This is a great curation, which will, hopefully, be here for years to come, to be explored by others like me.

First video of yours I saw was the Shoegaze guide (a big fan of the genre), and I subscribed to you right after your colab vid with Melon, so, even though you wont do as much vids as you have until now, I have your past vids to sift through, and I just hope I finish them right as you come back to a, hopefully, larger subscriber base and the recognition you deserve!

If I ever made a channel it would pretty much have the same style of content as yours and now I find out you're going on hiatus. Damn, well good luck to you. hey Oliver. Doing a master course myself and it is already hard to keep on track with nothing else in my life besides the basic stuff, let alone run a pretty big RUclips channel like you. I always had deep respect for you, in that you were been able to juggle between your channel and university. I always wondered how you did it. Well, it wasn't as much of a breeze as it seemed for me as an outside spectator. People often forget how chaotic things can get behind the scenes, and so did I.
There is no shame in going on hiatus to wait until the dust has settled. If I have learned one thing these last couple of years is that life is a constant series of ebb and flow. I see your situation as a period of an ebb. We will all be waiting for you when the flow will start again, don't worry about it. Your channel has given me, and many others, something authentic that no other channel could give. A guy with a great personality and solid value systems that is a pleasure to listen to.
I'll be there when your next video is here, whenever that may be.

I found your channel through your intro to shoegaze video, and it's been absolutely wonderful to watch your channel grow since then. You're such a lovely person and this is definitely one of my favorite channels to watch here. I can only imagine how difficult it must've been to make this decision, because it's clear how much you enjoy making these videos and talking about music. Tough decisions have to be made every now and again, unfortunately. You will be missed, for sure, but we'll always be here when you decide to come back.
