The lovely folks over at Teching DIY sent me this 5-cylinder radial a few months back, so I could give my quick review of it. Unfortunately, I've put it on the back burner for too long but have finally got around to building it. It took MUCH longer than I expected. Historically, this engine is very similar to early radials built in the 1920s, such as the Kinner K-5, featuring two valves per cylinder and five total cylinders.

Would be cool if you assembled actual working engines like the mini V8 and radials, love the content just a thought!

Cool kit, I guess. I thought it was one of those that actually ran on gasoline, which do exist.
Supposedly we're going electric anyways. A kit to build an electric motor that actually works would be cool.

Just need another 3 kits to make a 20 cylinder .....lets hope they also sent one to Greg so he can comment on the manifold pressure.

Thanks for sharing, this is really cool. I'm actually in the process of designing a model of a 7 cylinder OHV radial engine.
The parts will be laser cut from about 6mm wood board. Obviously the profile shapes of my parts will be way simplified.
This video has inspired me to keep going on my project. Thank you so much Bro, love your channel. 😎👌

I believe the Radio Control Fliers have actual working engines like these and better. You might want to check them out. They also have virtual Reality Headsets to fly their Radio Control aircraft which is absolutely amazing. What I would like to see is one of their model jets break the sound barrier ! 😉

Oh goodness I want one of these. Do the Revlon tweezers come with the kit? NB loved the music by the way - my sort of thing.

I don't see the link to this awesome product. Great video as I've flown 3 cylinder radials in rc aircraft. Saito makes some really cool miniature model engines

How much trouble are you in for using your girl’s Revlon tweezers on a model build? Reminds me of the day my wife caught me washing a cylinder head in the dishwasher. The only thing that saved me was that it was off her bike….

So......take the next step........buy yourself an model aircraft 2 stroke engine glow plug engine 1.5 / 2 cc or so & run one of those .., all the oil smells & noises put engines in context ...
