I’ve been on a 2005 Jeanneau several times (beautifully maintained by his owner), and you can easily notice the difference in the quality of the wood used then comparing with this Ikea boards used now. Sadly I see other European brands in an equivalent price/length are basically the same (Beneteau, Dufort, Bavaria, Hanse), unless you pay much more for other options like Hallberg Rassy.
Research Alpi wood products. This is a sustainable wood product that is partially meant to releive some of the pressure of deforstation in many parts of the world. You may not like it but a lot of people do.
