I love how the storylines progress, in the first and second games it’s just rescue the zap fish but in octo expansion it takes a u turn and turns into find the bits to a blender, almost get smoothied, go through a human body, and then stop a genocidal phone from shooting a laser beam of death shaped like the Statue of Liberty to destroy the world and creating a genetically perfect life form
DJ Octavio in the first game was honestly good and epic, and the heavenly melody of Calamari Inkantation. DJ Octavio in the second game was easy but it was still very epic, hearing both of the Squid Sisters’ solos mashed together and even a remix of the heavenly melody that is already perfect. *SPOILER ALERT* Tartar is the most threatening boss in Splatoon 2 in my opinion, with no checkpoints, one death and it’s game over for you. Run out of time, game over. My god was Tartar scary, I’m not joking I was a little scared of him... My opinions though.
And theeeenn theres inner agent 3 The satan herself, one of the hardest- no THE HARDEST boss in all of splatoon, why? Simple, you have to beat ALL OF THE LEVELS in the metro, and you cannot skip a single one, then there’s the actual boss, it takes more then 100 tries to beat the boss on your first time
All octo expansion bosses were goddamn amazing tho. Really suprised me how good the dlc actually was. And it's not like I had low expectations. So aesthetihally pleasing and the soundtrack is one of my favourites ever.

I just finished story mode yesterday DJ Octavio was kinda easy to be honest but if you do the boss again it has different words instead of Callie singing blushing faces coverd in pink rushing bombs exploding ink. If you do the boss again it's says Blushing faces coverd in pink exploding bombs no time to think!
And DJ Octavio will only return it if he gets your credit card number, the expiration date, and the 3 numbers on the back, but do it quick, or else DJ Octavio will cause a power surge all over Octo Canyon!
How exactly is he worse than Octavio? He doesn't attack you. Only ways to fail are to fall in the water or run out of time. Edit: He is only worse than octavio in a story pov, not in a gameplay one, octavio also would have run inkopolis out of power by stealing the zapfish, which would've also probably killed all of Inkopolis, just like tartar
An interesting thing I noticed was that when I replayed the DJ Octavio 2 fight after freeing Callie, you get different dialogue than when you played it the first time. The story behind the replay is that the DJ got Callie to put back on the shades and the dialogue is a lot more light hearted and is honestly worth going thru the boss battle a second time just to read it. A few memorable lines are "Octavio, stop hitting yourself. Stop hitting yourself" "THESE SHADES LOOK GOOD ON ME, OK!" "I think you got ink in my eye" "No one shades on my shades" and "This reminds me of a certain splatfest" At this point just play it yourself. Its worth it.
I was so surprised when there was new dialogue. I thought it was just going to pretend you were reliving memories or something to explain Callie being there. Or maybe just not have Callie there at all.

I thought It would be a complete replay of the original fight. I'm so glad I got to witness the fun little easter egg instead of the intense DJ Octavio 2 fight with it's serious dialogue.
After you beat it once trust me it becomes so much easier for some reason. Going from struggling to beat the boss (took me a solid 30 minutes) to playing it whenever my internet is giving me problems or just making bets with my friends and getting so extra cash (I think I have beaten the fight at least 15 times, unfortunate that it doesn't give any extra rewards, like tickets or extra cash)
So we have Octavio, a dude with evil music in splatoon 1, in splatoon 2 we have Octavio using hypno magic and a sentient AI trying to wipe out two intelligent species. At this rate Splatoon 3 is gonna be humans crawling out of bunkers and attempting to nuke the living fuck out of the inklings
