  • Connor and I's first adventure in a while began at 5am in Canmore. We dropped his truck at the Jura Creek lot and headed over to the Yamnuska trailhead. The route summits six peaks over about 12km and 1500m of elevation gain. The weather stayed calm which made for an excellent day, and we finished with a lazy walk down the Jura Creek Canyon.

Started at the Yamnuska trailhead and went from there. I remember being told that the rappel is avoidable by going around but we chose it for more fun. Had a 70m rope which was a bit excessive. There's also a low angle slab pitch thats about 20m that my buddy led but its got barely any protection I'd bring a little bit of gear.

As an avid viewer and someone who only wants the best for you, I feel obligated to point out at 7:44 that you incorrectly thought the past tense of “grind” is “grinded” when it is in fact “ground”. A minor mistake but a mistake nonetheless. Thanks for your understanding and wishing you continued success.
