I really enjoy this series and am grateful that you share so much with us. In the beginning I thought that you run through things fast but either I got used to it or you've slowed down a little in newer videos. That said please keep up the great work! I said it on Insta but I will repeat... I am sorry for your loss. Take as much time as you need to process and heal. We'll still be here binging all your videos in the meantime.

Even though my partner and I decided to postpone our wedding, it's still a very stressful thing for me. Your videos are very helpful and soothing for my nerves. Tbh I'd prefer very intimate ceremony with my partner, her mum and best pals, when she's more certain about having a wedding party much bigger than I thought and I don't know how to balance that

This was me :/ our date was Nov 20th but our venue backed out on us a month ago with all the new health changes and didn’t want to take a chance. Urgh! I’m in Ontario,Canada. Now postponed till April 23rd!

I'd just like to add that you may need to start marriage counseling sooner depending on your beliefs. The pastor at our church won't marry anyone who hasn't gone through marriage counseling. So for anyone who wants him specifically to officiate, marriage counseling is one of the first things that the couple needs to do.

Could you please do a video about wedding dress shopping?! I don't know why but I am freaking out nervous!!! I haven't even started yet but I have an appointment and I have no idea what to wear, who to bring, what to expect...
Hi! Im a bridal stylist and I’m happy to share what I recommend and tell my brides when they come to see me.
The boutique I work at currently only allows three people for each appointment (the Bride plus two) but there’s always room for exceptions. I would personally try to keep it around two to three most as more opinions can get confusing.
Another option is you can go to an appointment by yourself and start narrowing down silhouettes and design elements you like (for example; appliqués, lace, the type of sparkle you like [beading, sequins, or glitter]). Then come back with those important people for that “I’m saying yes” moment.
Some stylist like to have pictures. I don’t have a preference. For my first time brides sometimes I prefer if they don’t have tons of pictures to show me because then I can show them several different dresses they may have not considered looking at. If you have a bunch of pictures saved then that’s awesome too! I don’t know a single stylist who doesn’t love to see a brides dress inspo.
As for what to wear I always recommend neutral bottoms, usually skin toned. They don’t have to be any special shape or cut. Just whatever you’re comfortable in whether that be boy shorts or a thong. As for a bra I actually recommend you don’t wear a bra when trying on dresses. Almost all dresses come with cups built into the dress (which can be altered later to adjust how much padding you want). I always tell my brides they if they’re more comfortable with keeping their bra on they’re of course more than welcome to, but as our street bras weren’t made to be worn under wedding dresses they usually show and you’ll have to visualize how the dress would look without it.
Every boutique and stylist has a different system. I prefer to help my brides in and out of the dresses which means you do get undressed in front of the stylist and she’ll help you in and out of the dress then hold your train as you walk out of the fitting room to your little section of the shop.

This is me right now 😩 still haven’t booked our reception venue and I’m stressing because invites need to go out soon. How did it go??
@@alysiam3559 It actually went well. We had the wedding and reception at the same place. We created digital invitations through Zola, so we wouldn't have to depend on the mail. You know people don't respond when they should. The only hiccup I had was the day of when my MOH left me for hours that morning and I was an hour and a half late. It really messed up my timeline.

Jamie, love your videos so much, but I disagree with you about starting marital counseling 2 months before the wedding. That is the last thing I would have wanted to do at that time in my wedding planning! There was too much on my mind to be "focused" on the counseling and get anything meaningful from it. Should start the counseling much earlier
