This music is wonderful and your realization of it is as well. It really creates an atmosphere of dark and stillness. Zilcher is a real composer, one of quality. I’m making it.a point to hear all the Zilcher possible since I will be playing some next year. Thanks for making the effort to present this great music to the public.
The sonorities in this music remind me of a piece by Albert Chandelier called 'Les Cloches'. His music is worth checking out - several pieces are on IMSLP.
Zilcher is quote famous for his lieder books and mist of them are really good. First time I happen to listen to piano works. Reminds me of late Wolf atmosphere (actually Wolf is also way more famous for lieders than piano works and more famous than Zilcher, anyways). Assume he wrote more for piano. This set is beautifully gloomy and Nordic. Would like to listen to more jobs if he actually wrote more for piano.
The first piece actually gave me goosebumps. Achingly beautiful. Wonderful playing.
I am speechless after the first piece.
I was too
I like the tempi. They give the music a chance to breathe and the more unusual harmonies time to speak. Thanks for uploading!

in my hometown we even have a statue of him - his music deserves to be explored and played today.
I hope to visit sometime. Zilcher’s family is still around and active in promoting the music.
Another great addition to my bucket list. Inspired performance!
The last piece reminds me a little of Ravel's Le Gibet in places. Lovely music.
I really liked the second piece, I'll try playing it when I get a chance. Thank you for the upload
I did like Epilog a lot.
@@PianoScoreVids epilog was my second fav :)
Reminds me so much of Alan Berg's sonata, but not so much looking ahead.
