Oh dear, he planted that tree in 4ins dirt that was on solid concrete..once the roots start spreading they could damage the wall... everything else was spotless and done with great care
You wet the bricks to prevent them from pulling all the liquid out of the cement - this would weaken the cement. Also... Wet bricks allow the cement to bond better with the bricks.
